Tales of A Bosmer (RP Idea/ Closed....)

So this is just an idea, and if enough people are interested I will follow through with this RP. A lot of RP's on this site have really good plots and are really well thought out... This one is not one of them unfortunately. It's just a very simple idea that surrounds my main character Narella.

This RP is more of an adventure that will start in Valenwood. It also takes place right before ESO.

This is a spin off of the RP Bound in Chains.

Plot of the story is basically of a young Bosmer female named Narella. Her brother, Aracnis, has not returned from his pilgrimage to Elsweyr. So she is basically trying to find her brother.....

If this Rp last, it will have a beginning and end, and it will tie with the RP bound In chains.


Since I am not the most Organized person, I will need help in Organizing this Rp. There will be at least one other 'moderator' for the rp.

If this is not a great idea please let me know what I can do to make it better.

If there is no hope for this RP, I will Kill it with fire.

Appearance – At a glance she appears to be a rather small-looking, fragile Boiche woman, with incredibly dark, green eyes and relatively long brown hair, and with two smallish antlers that protrude around three inches(remember Morrowind?). On the first sight one could think her deathly ill but infact she just avoids sunlight and others in general. Her features together with her facial structure could be called 'beautiful'. Under her right eye there is a single long jagged scar that goes from her forehead to her cheek, like from an animal’s claw, she tends to hide this with green war paint stylised as an eye similar to the eye of Magnus and she commonly wears a green cloak and cowl alongside this. Her face is a mask of humour and goodwill, but there is a sparkle in her eyes, showing a mute tortured soul behind this mask.

Personality – She is a strange character to some. Being both humble and good natured on the one hand and also cruel and heartless on the other hand. She cannot stand seeing other people suffering and gets angry at witnessing injustice, crime and famine. But she has no problem with plundering or torturing if the need arises. When met with adventurers or soldiers she is easily scared and intimidated but will feel challenged to which she can´t help reacting too sarcastically and venomously. However she herself is sometimes taken aback by her own cruelty, to a point where she will seek forgiveness from
those she has wronged.

‘She’ as Anrelri has taken to calling her split personality, is similar, but can manifest in one of two ways. One of which is just sheer sadness, and depression. This was the cause of her nearly killing herself a year ago. This is the backlash from her tribe’s death. The other however, is the polar opposite. It is anger and hatred. Hatred of everyone, and anger of their deaths and her inability to help. This ‘side’ is also prone to jealousy and sheer envy, of those who have their family, intact and functional. These coupled with the Telboth blood, is her drive to kill and devour the children of said families, and take their place, even if only to have the feeling of safety and a ‘true’ family for a little while…before the family realise that she isn’t their child however.

Backstory- Born in Valenwood, but close to the border and close to Torval. Anrelri had a relatively nice early life, as her tribe was prosperous and quite well off. However that was to change. When she was aged six, members from her tribe, mainly her family, went to meet a Khajiit caravaneer and settle upon a trade agreement. They deal went horribly wrong, and the Khajiit ambushed the tribe members killing them all. Anrelri essentially watched her family and most of her tribe be murdered, to which left her mentally unstable, and caused her to nearly kill herself once. She was stopped by a Dunmer woman, who 'adopted' her. They now live together, in Valenwood.

Skills- Acrobatics and athletics are her main skills, with archery following close behind. She is also fairly well versed in short blades and light armour. However her speech is very limited, due to her not being taught Tamrielic, this often impedes her attempts to threaten people verbally.

Equipment- she commonly wears a green cloak and cowl that renders her near invisible, in the thick Valenwood undergrowth and treeline, and underneath that, she wears padded leather armour that is reinforced in a few vital places with metal.

Challenges for the Character – Sometimes she is in conflict with herself. Her split personalities are sometimes difficult to bring together and coordinate. And while she wants sorely to do good and help others, she often can’t show it properly as her alternate self tends to take over. Her ‘’good’’ side hates weapons and violence at all wanting people to just get along. She also has a problem speaking ''normal'' Tamrielic to a point where it is often difficult to her to express herself through speech this is because she grew up around the beast languages and Bosmeris as her tribe valued them above the ''normal'' tongue of man and Mer.

Appearance - Steel coloured fur with black on the tops of his arms and black rings and splotches covering his entire body like a leopard. He has very tall ears, even for a Khajiit, with many golden rings piercing them from the tips to the base. Very short fur, similar to a leopards, but the fur on his jawline is longer than the rest and is braided with many golden beads. He also has other piercings on his face such as around his snout and on his cheeks all of which are pierced with golden rings like those in his ears. A very large Khajiit, about eight feet tall, given his being a Cathay-Raht with lots of mass and dense muscles but not a particularly brutish look despite his size.

Equipment[/i] - Wears a simple pair of leather pants with a pair of boots and a vest made of the same material and a pair of splinted vambraces made from boiled leather with a steel plate on the top and reinforced with iron. For weapons he relies primarily on his ebony coloured claws as sharp as daggers but he also carries two compact one-handed crossbows that he carries on his back, one over either shoulder. He also carries throwing knives on a leather strap that goes across his torso from his right shoulder to his left hip as well as a few throwing darts in a satchel on his waist. Lastly he carries a thin moonstone longsword that he either carries on his hip or strapped across his back.

[b]Werewolf appearance - In his beast form Do'Zakar is much larger being about double his muscle tone and about three heads taller. In this form his fur turns glossy black so dark Nocturnal would be impressed and long pure white canines that would make a sabre-toothed tiger jealous and crimson irises as if from the realm of prince Dagon. His hands and feet grow much bigger and longer as well and his claws become as long as knives and sharp enough to shame a Daedroth.

Personality - Very proud of being a lycanthrope though he's slightly afraid of being discovered as one for the shame it could bring to him as a warrior. Has a fairly gentlemanly nature though not a "player" or "ladies man" by any means and has a very polite disposition to most except Dunmer. He will not stand for slavery or prejudice against his kind and will sometimes start fights with people who are racist against his kind or others. He is something of a hypocrite with this because he will sometimes judge others based on bad experiences with their kind. Especially Dunmer. He hates the idea of currency believing that it does nothing but corrupt and make others lax and lazy. As such whenever he has more money than he needs to sustain himself in foreign provinces he will often give it to a charity of some sort as soon as possible.

Social Background/Backstory - Do'Zakar was born to a poor family living in the city of Orcrest in Annequina. His father hadn't stuck around to see his berth and his mother was a lower-class citizen working three jobs to try and support herself so she knew that she couldn't support a child.

When Do'Zakar was only a few months old his mother took him to a monastery in the mountains in northern Elsweyr and left him in the care of the monks living there.

That was the last time he ever saw her.

Do'Zakar's childhood was spent living in the monastery being taught the Khajiiti martial arts and receiving and education. He enjoyed living in the mountains. It taught him self sufficiency and how to survive but he loved his life as a warrior-monk-to-be and the monastery and the monks in it even more and couldn't picture a better life.

When he was eighteen, a lost and sickly traveller from Cyrodiil found his way into Elsweyr and showed up at the monastery's door begging for refuge to which the monks obliged.

Do'Zakar was checking up on the man one night only to find the man huddled in a corner shivering uncontrollably and warning the Khajiit to keep his distance. Do'Zakar of course moved to investigate but before his eyes the man changed. It was the first time he'd seen a werewolf.

The beast slashed Do'Zakar giving him some deep cuts and sending him effortlessly across the room. The noise alerted the other monks who cam to investigate and brought down the beast bare-handed using the martial arts.

Do'Zakar's wounds were healed with little effort but unknown to him or the monks the disease of lycanthropy had seeped into the wounds and infected the Khajiit's bloodstream eventually taking hold and progressing fully to lycanthropy.

Do'Zakar luckily was out to retrieve water when he had his first change into the werewolf that he is now and it scared him more than anything he'd ever known.

When he was twenty five he believed he had managed to control the werewolf inside him using meditation and the serenity that came from the martial arts but every now and again he couldn't resist the compulsion and had to leave the monastery to find something to kill.

That same year he decided to leave the monks and see the world taking the 'Do prefix and adding it to his name for his long training in the martial arts. As much as he loved that place he knew that there had to be more to life than being a monk and so he struck out wandering all over Elsweyr, Cyrodiil and Valenwood.

Since then during his travels he has always continued the practises he was taught with the monks such as the martial arts and self-taught himself swordplay. Throwing weapons and moving in light armour came surprisingly natural to him, they weren't so very different from his martial arts.

Best Memory - Just about his entire childhood in the monastery was pleasant, until the werewolf came.

Worst Memory - The night when he first changed into a werewolf.

Skills - Hand-to-hand combat primarily and Khajiiti martial arts, one-handed blades, light armour, throwing weapons, one-handed crossbows.

Challenges for the Character - Overcoming his wolf spirit is his primary challenge but through the martial arts he can reign in his wolf spirit. Usually...

Backstory: Growing up in Alinor in an estate owned by her noble family, she had learned magic and was excellent at it. She often moved between Elweyr, Valenwood and Argonia to try and help her family who were losing their name and land owned there. On a trip to her grand fathers land, at age 276, in Argonia, her caravan was raided by dunmer troops who captured and enslaved her, along with one of her brothers and sister. She was working hard on some iron mines for house Telvanni, and soon her captured family died in the mines. After 96 years of working, she had managed to escape from the mines. She left for Argonia to her families land, and then to Elsweyr and Valenwood. She found they all lost by her family. She left for the estate in Summerset, to find it to was lost, and her family dead. Elenelle began adventuring, looking for peace. She traveled across Tamriel and found herself learning in the temples of the divines. She had become a priestess when in Elden root, and later she found a village close by which she made a chapel dedicated to the divines. In that village she found her peace, and a friendly community. One day her friend had told her that her brother was missing, and she was going to find him. Elenelle decided to accompany her friend.

Appearance - He's above average height for a bosmer and he has a black Mohawk and small beard. His eyes are a red/orange colour and he has some scars across his face. Aendrast has traditional blood red bosmer warpaint adorning his face.

Personality - He is very cautious and meticulous about what he does and is a perfectionist when it comes to archery. He is very kind and polite to everyone he meets but has some anger issues that cause him to lash out at others. Aendrast is extremely loyal to all his friends and family due to having a pack mentality. Due to being a werewolf he is very secretive and only befriends people he can trust to do him good. He is quite stubborn and doesn't know when to give up which has developed into a hate for failure. Due to becoming the alpha of the tribe he is very ferocious and doesn't give up but this means he has to assert his dominance through violence which doesn't mix well with his anger issues, he is known to go into trances of rage in which means he may kill anyone in his way.

Social Background/Backstory - Aendrast was born into the 'Wild Blood' tribe in the dense forest near Elden Grove. His family is descended from a long line of some of the tribes greatest warriors and hunters and because of this fact he was trained to the highest standard. By the age of 5 Aendrast was training how to use a bow and he soon found that he had a natural talent for it. In his spare time he would still be practicing his archery by shooting targets at different distances and watching the arc of the arrow, seeing which was the best angle to shoot from. His brother, Tharundil, taught him how to lead his targets and how the wind affected the shot. by the age of 15 Aendrast had proven himself to be an amazing archer, even by his family's standard however he had to learn how to put those skills to good use...

Tharundil taught Aendrast day in and day out how to track his prey and how to find the best hiding places but Aendrast wasn't great at either. However through years of training and hunting he finally mastered the art of tracking his prey and ambushing it, he was officially a functional member of the tribe. However one day when he was hunting with Tharundil tragedy struck. As they were stalking a boar it kept getting further and further away from the village until it got into a rival tribes territory. The young hunters didn't realise and were eager to get such a beloved meal back home, Tharundil went one side of the boar and Aendrast went the other side. As Aendrast was about to shoot, the was knocked into the bushes screaming and kicking with all its might while blood pooled all over the emerald floor. Tharundil stepped up with a big smug grin on his face but as he walked over to collect his prize an arrow burst through his neck spraying a crimson jet all over the floor. Aendrast rushed out to help him but arrows were raining down on him and then two bosmer bolted out from their cover with large spears and charged the young bosmer. After a long fight Aendrast had killed the two rival tribe's members but more ran to the fight so Aendrast ran, he ran as fast as he could to get home and bring the terrible news.

A week had passed and Aendrast was furious that the alpha had done nothing in revenge saying it was their enemies right to protect their territory. Aendrast had a grudge that he would never let go until the enemy lay dead in front of him. However he had to continue his training, he continued to perfect his skills over the years and by the time he was 20 the time had come... The trial of Hircine. On the night of the trial the bloodmoon hung bright in the dark sky. Aendrast was led to a clearing where a stone fountain with stylistic images of hircine stood. He was lead over to the fountain to find it filled with a small sample of each of tribe member's blood who had already completed the trial. Aendrast drank every last drop and then all around him his kin turned into massive beasts until everyone around him was replaced by a werewolf. Then redness filled his eyes and he slowly and agonisingly turned into a mighty black creature with blood red eyes snarling and howling, ready for blood. He was then lead to a lone mighty stag and was forced to chase it. After a long chase he pounced on the stag and tore it to pieces, blood, flesh and bones flying everywhere. Then, he blacked out. He saw the mighty lord of the hunt approach him and bestow a gift upon him in return for his service in the afterlife...

By the age of 39 Aendrast was a well trained warrior, hunter and beast. However he was ambitious and hated the tribes leader for letting their enemy get away with the murder of his brother. Out of rage, blood lust and a thirst for power Aendrast approached the alpha and challenged him. Later that night the fight started, they were both in beast form but Aendrast was the bigger of the two. The fight went on for hours but in the end laid the old alpha, with chunks of flesh missing, he was in a pool of his on beast blood. Aendrast was now the alpha of the tribe, the others were astonished by how a mere child of an elf defeated such a strong and experienced leader with such ferocity. Aendrast's first order as alpha was to wipe out the rival tribe, he ordered everyone in that tribe killed straight away and presented on the edge of their newly enlarged borders. Over the years Aendrast became a great, fair and charismatic leader and soon his monstrous treatment of their enemy was forgotten. However when the Aldmeri dominion was created and the war for the ruby throne began he and his tribe were ready for war. Aendrast headed to fight for a peaceful land where his tribe could live their lives away from their enemies.

Best Memory - Becoming the alpha of his tribe

Skills - Aendrast is exceptionally great with a bow and is well known for it. He is also great at stealth and hunting which can prove useful to find food and to wipe out his enemies. He is good with blades although he still needs a lot of work with them. He uses either medium armour when hunting and scouting but when he is in an all out fight he prefers his heavy bosmer armour. In his beast form he is very strong and muscular with razor sharp claws and crushing fangs that enable him to be the best of his tribe.

Challenges for the Character - He has a short temper and can lash out in anger at people. He has trust issues due to being a werewolf which others often frown upon. He can be ignorantly loyal to his people and protects them in any way at all costs which has gotten him a few enemies.

Religious Views - He and his entire tribe are devout followers of the daedric lord Hircine therefore they are all werewolves and have to go through a rite of passage to be accepted fully into the tribe. Being a follower means he and his tribe members that pass the challenge laid down by hircine can fully control the beast blood at the cost of serving hircine after death.

Backstory(Optional): Thelis’s mother died giving birth to him and his father died trying to take down a group of evil necromancers and storm mages. Hiervo, who had heard the screams of his mother, brought Thelis to Kvatch. He lived in the castle ward for 15 years not knowing that it was Hiervo who rescued him. Around his 15th birthday he was given the option to be Hiervo’s apprentice and train as a Ranger. He accepted and trained under Hiervo for 5 years learning how to shoot a bow, fight with knives/daggers, throw knives, move unseen, fight unarmed, track, hunt, and ride a horse.

Appearance: A normal looking Dunmer, gray skin, red eyes. Stlen also has his long hair pulled back in a bun. He is normally in ebony armor, chitin or bonemold armor with a set of red goggles and a red scarf. Whenever possible he has a black, red, or blue cloak over his armor. Stlen has a long, thin scar on his left cheek that he got from an ex-lover and a brand on his left upper inside arm.

Backstory(Optional): Stlen was born to a Dunmer father named Nirosi Ralys and an unknown Dunmer mother. He had a good childhood, learning the merchant and slave trade from his father. Stlen was a great student but has always felt conflicted about being a slave owner. At first he could deal with it, his father only owning two or three slaves, but then one day when Stlen was walking he found a few caves on his father's property, caves full of ebony ore veins. His father quickly built up an ebony empire, which he used to buy more and more slaves, increasing Stlen's dilemma. Agitated he spent some time traveling and met an ordinator named Barete Elerel. After a few months Barete and Stlen realized they were deeply in love with each other and decided to wed each other. Stlen received permission from Barete's father to marry her but his father wanted to get to know Barete better before a wedding happened. After three months, Nirosi agreed to the wedding and a date was set for in six months. A few weeks after the wedding though Barete Elerel was killed by a group of Bosmer. He decided to get a brand of her name on his left upper inside arm. Stlen spent a few months hunting the Bosmer down and drinking/drugging his life away. He eventually realized that Barete and his father (who had died when he was an alcoholic) would want him to get on with his life. After that he dated Haleya Vells. Stlen eventually figured out that Haleya was just interested in his money and confronted her. Angry at his finding out the truth, Haleya slapped him across the face giving him a scar across his face and then ran off into the night, killing three guards on the way. After that he decided to buy a ship and become a bounty hunter. His first target? Haleya Vells. He had his childhood best friend, Tulver Nedion, manage his estate while he was away on his long bounty hunts.

The tie-in idea is interesting. I might join this and if so it would either be with Do'Zakar or Thaeril (you know the former and the latter is a Bosmer archer... what a surprise).

How would our chars meet your char though? would she be asking around for help or something?

Now I will try to make this Rp as organized as I could.

As for encounters it will depend.

You can meet her on a path towards elsweyr.


(still working on the lore) but you can meet here in a tavern.

There also could he surprise encounters as well.
It will not be that hard for your character to follow Narella it would just be the question as to why they are following her.

I will have at least one maybe two moderators that will help me organize the RP.

And yes everyone that posted so far can join. :)

I am still working on my own character Bio, but I will post a character template tomorrow.

Also, out of curiosity, which region of Elsweyr would they be heading to? Anequina or Pellitine? it wouldn't affect me at all but I'm just curious.
