First Name: K'avar
Surname: Talib
Title: do Skaven No Shira [of Skaven, of a noble house]

Age: 27
Occupation: Mercenary & Blacksmith

Faction: Daggerfall Covenant

Appearance: Very large, heavily-muscled Redguard; Extremely dark; Jet-black hair braided and pulled back behind his head, with black mustache and beard tied below his chin in the Redguard style; he has intricate tattoos covering his face and most of his body.

Class: Dragonknight
Primary Weapon(s): Melee - One-handed scimitar & shield, with scimitar great-sword as a backup
Secondary Weapon: Ranged - Destruction staff, with Bow as a backup

Backstory:

K'avar Talib do Skaven No Shira was born second-son, in the clan Talib of the city of Skaven, home to the Hall of the Virtues of War. In the Crown families of Skaven, adherence to the old ways of Yokuda was the foremost virtue. Thus the first-sons of a noble clan inherited the clan chiefdom, while the second-sons went to Hall of the Virtues of War to study the Book of Circles, and learn the way of the sword-singers.

K'avar's education was abruptly ended, when he accidentally killed a son of the ruling family of Skaven, in a duel over the affections of a tavern wench. Dismissed from the Hall, K'avar promised his master he would continue to study the Book of Circles, the knowledge of the way of the sword-singers. Taking his sword, and his other meager possessions, K'avar exiled himself in the Alik'r Desert, Hammerfell's great forge of men. The gods of Yorkuda granted reprieve from death overtaking most who challenged the Alik'r, allowing him to emerge from the desert like new steel from a forge; harder, stronger, like a sword of antiquity.

A chance meeting in Sentinel with Azzan, the master smith, evolved into an eight-year apprenticeship into the molten knowledge of the Riddle of Steel. After years at the forge, learning more of his craft, K'avar was surprised when Master Azzan informed him he was now a journeyman, fit to work and discover more knowledge of Riddle of Steel on his own. Master Azzan said the best way to accomplish this was to journey to other lands and learn the traditions of other shapers of steel, while, in turn, showing the outlanders how the Redguards honored their Gods.

On Sentinel's docks K'avar saw a broadsheet from the Breton High King Emeric of Wayrest, exhorting all Bretons, Orcs, and Redguards to join in alliance to retake the Ruby Throne of Cyrodill. Seeing opportunity for both his sword-hand, and his knowledge of steel, to gain both honor and coin in the world, K'avar Talib then set out for Wayrest, King Emeric's seat in High Rock.

Personality and personal goals in life:

Proud, but honorable man, naturally focused on righting what he sees as wrong in the world; defender of the downtrodden. Willing to join with those who also are focused on honor and following a righteous cause, but not adverse to making a little coin, should the opportunity present itself.

Major motivations in life:

Striving to uphold his honor, and defending those who cannot defend themselves. Continuing to perfect his knowledge of the Book of Circles and the way of the sword-singers. Learning all that he can know of the Riddle of Steel and the ways of shaping metal into practical weapons and armor, while always striving to improve those creations into forms pleasing to the Gods of the Yokuda.

Strengths:

I am an honorable man and my word is my bond. I always stand as bulwark for the weak and downtrodden against those who would oppress or harm them. I have knowledge of the Riddle of Steel; and I strive always to quench my uncontrolled fury by shaping weapons of war in forms pleasing to my Gods.

Weaknesses:

Hubris: pride, which brought me my fall, and arrogance, for I believing I was immune to the failings of lesser men.

Faction & Race:
Daggerfall Covenant (Redguard)
Race: Redguard
Name: De'lano Jugaar
Age: 26
Faction: Daggerfall Covenant
Occupation: Leatherworker & mercenary for the Band of the Hawk guild
About me: I love sweet rolls more than a Khajiit loves skooma. I have my best friend Momo, who is a monkey. I'm with the guild The Band of The Hawk, I love women and I'm a heavy drinker. I tend to not take things seriously and I'm kind of a troublemaker/jokester. Despite all that, I'm the best duelist coin can buy. My strongpoint is close quater combat, I have my two lightweight swords with my initials "DJ" engraved on the side of the blade. I'm quick and agile and very observant, within a minute of battle I can find your weak spot and your flaws. But I'm not a serious person that wants to spill blood or goes on violent rampages on the battlefield. I'm just laid back, but don't take that for a weakness.

I wanted to wait until I actually created a character and a name. Ah, well, I'm bored, and the story is coming together.

I was born in the house my great x 10 grandfather built, in a high valley in the Western Reach. It is said of that valley that no one not born there could ever find it. It is also said that even those born there could not find it themselves without leaving and returning a score of times. I may never know. I remember leaving, my first journey away, with my father and uncle and a half-score of more distant kin, to take ship for Northpoint and perhaps beyond. I remember my next younger sister pleading to come along, to be admonished to wait for her 17th year like all the rest have done. I remember the journey down the valley, to where the river entered a gorge and broke into rapids and then a cataract. I remember helping to slide the mules' loads down a muddy run, then sliding down the same run, to where a barge was tied to a rough dock in a lake below the cataract. I remember loading that barge, and riding it along with my kin down the river, which there was wide and slow. I remember coming to the mouth of the river, and the alarm of my kin at the black-sailed longship waiting at the mouth. I remember hasty, desperate preparations for battle, or perhaps flight, then nothing more until the nightmare.

Coldharbor. So I've heard it called, since. Too many I've met since have the same memories. There is nothing to gain, at the moment, from a retelling. So I'm here.
