oddly. i dont remember the triskele beeing a particulary specific celtic symbol. I knew it from nordic occultism.

Im actually a sucker for celtic and proto celtic culture. Anything before the middle ages qualifies. Not a big fan of the Arturian myth itself however. Mists of Avalon ruined it for me.

However the myth of Cu Chulainn beeing probably the most badass thing ever to exist.

yeah pretty much that. its a rather common symbol. simmilar to the swastika (i wonder why nobody uses that anymore.. haw haw)

On the other hand one has to consider that in the indo-european migrations cultures got mixed up quite a bit.
I mean in austria we had a simultanious inhabitation by Germans, celts and slavs. However these cultures were hardly overlapping in these days as the Germans had a tendency of sticking to the northern valleys, the celts living farer in the south and the slavs living on the mountains.

It's a symbol found in several cultures yes, though it's specifically characteristic in Celtic art. I've always liked Celtic history, art, music and culture, so there you go.

My favorite Celtic name is Meadhbh, pronounced Maeve. My favorite Celtic name is Meadhbh, pronounced Maeve. I used to belong to the Snowhawk Clan in AoC and one of our members, a female I think had this name.

Either way, it's from multiple origins and almost all of them can be directly planted onto Tamriel, mostly around Skyrim too. A great nordic/celtic net handle really.

Honestly though: Vrage is the name of a first-era High King of Skyrim, who's often held to be partly responsible for mans rise to greatness in Tamriel. I simply figured that a patriotic man wanting to honour his nations past might name his son after an ancient king.

(Also it'd be great to assert the EP's dominance over the AD and once more prove that men are superior to mer, whilst wearing the name of someone who did a similar thing)

Daggerfall used some kinda-sorta-Egyptian-style names for Redguards (Akorithi, for instance), and even with the Arabic style in Skyrim Hentmereb wouldn't stand out too much, I don't think.

EDIT: Oh, right, user name. Well, that's easy - my first name is Margaret, Margie for short, and the rest is some silly rhyme to make it a bit more unique. <_<

well and then in Oblivion they were, for the lack of a better term "african UMERICAN" and Cyrus defintily got a spanish vibe going on.

When it comes to pinning down the culture the redguard are probably an even tougher one than the argonians.

Well, Glassweaver has pretty much been my standard name online for about a decade now.

I originally had Dreamweaver open when I was trying to come up with a good name for my first toon in WoW. I thought Dreamweaver would be awesome but it was taken. Glassweaver wasn't, so I've stuck with it.

The Obsidian Brotherhood
Ebonheart Pact ─ Casual to Moderate ─ North American.
Weekly Raids ─ Private Voice Chat ─ Council Leadership.
For the Brotherhood. For the Pact.

I got the username 'Roach' when I made a Call of Duty forum with someone last year and based it off one of the characters.

I quite liked it so I kept it. Normally always get the comment about the bug but yeah :D
