I thought it would be a great idea to compile all the information from all the videos and magazine articles we have on our guilds website and create one huge thread for http://www.tesoelite.com and http://www.tamrielfoundry.com and teccas http://www.tesof.com, this thread will include all the things we know about The Elder Scrolls Online, comprising an amazing compilation of confirmed forum posts and reviews from people that have taken part in the live participation event at the PAX East weekend, EDGE and PCGAMER Review Info to provide everyone here in this community with a great deal of information to wet your appetite.

PAX has finished, but we are all still eager to find our more, I’ve been following Garbrac live streams from tesoelite, which was great to listen too and very informative this information can always be changed or adapted by Zenimax depending on the feedback received from the beta tester. The main content of this article i have been working on for the last month but i used another thread from another site as its base and then built upon it, if anyone recognizes the format please would you message me that thread i would be grateful as i would like to give the original poster a thank-you and mention., i have reformatted it and added as much new content as i can right now, hope you folks find this beneficial and provides an insight to how the game is being developed and as to what it has to offer.

Combat
  • You can’t pause the game in an MMO, so players will have to think on there feet.
  • Spears and Pole arms will not be weapons in the game
  • Proper use of the Block and Finesse systems will stun PvE enemies for 4-6 seconds and PvP enemies for about 2-3 seconds.
  • Blocking an enemy’s attack greatly increases the chance for a critical hit.
  • Weapons and Armor will have Stats that improve Magicka, Stamina, Etc.
  • Your gear will scale to your character’s body
  • There will be no targeted healing
  • Some abilities allow you to setup AOE healing in a specific spot other players can use when needed.
  • Slow-Mo kills are in the game but require you to master the finesse system and weapon trees.
  • Three armor types you can specialize in: Heavy, Medium and Light. Any class can wear any armor type.
  • Combat is much like Skyrim, click to swing your sword, more around to dodge, hold right mouse button to block with your shield or sword.
  • Dodging will also be a skill that can be learned.
  • Spells, Arrows and other Projectiles appear to have targeting elements, but can be avoided by performing a dodge at the right time.
  • Mobs will learn your abilities and attempt to take advantage of your weaknesses. Extremely smart A.I.
  • If you encounter a Daedra mob one of the Daedra can sacrifice themselves to make the others in its mob more powerful. This can be prevented by stunning.
  • Gore is in, your weapons will get bloody.
  • You can not customize armor with dyes.
  • Attacks, Sprinting and Stealth drain stamina quickly.
  • There will be spells to detect stealthed individuals - Tamriel Foundry Interview
  • Combat is fast paced at times.
  • Any class can use any weapon.
  • Bethesda’s goal was to use familiar combat controls, but remove the rotation-based combat that’s seen in most MMOs.
  • In addition to the mouse controls, players will get a hotbar with 5 slots for active abilities plus 1 quickslot for potions, etc. and 1 slot for an ultimate ability. You will have to choose 5 active abilities for the hotbar, leaving others to be unused.
  • Active ability loadouts can be easily altered.
  • Ability loadouts are set to what weapon you are using. Much like GW2′s system, you can choose a backup weapon and completely different hotbar to switch to even in the middle of combat to expand the number of abilities you can use during a fight. The major difference is that you can choose all of your abilities here. This also lets you flip between ranged DPS and melee or healing mid-fight.
  • Players who are performing well in combat by utilizing dodge, block, and their interruption abilities will be granted Finesse, which gives you extra experience and extra loot. Finesse comes into play during the high levels and while grouping, but can be gained during early levels too.

The Holy Trinity (Tank, Healer, DPS) is in place, but very loosely. Tanks no longer are expected to hold the AGGRO from each and every enemy, and the healers will not target mash buttons and heal allies using only single target healing abilities.

Mouse Controls:
  • Left click = Basic attack/cast
  • Hold left click = Charge up a heavy attack
  • Hold Right click = Block
  • Double tap directional key = Dodge
  • Combat is strategic and takes place in real time.

Player Advancement, Abilities, and Skills
  • Max level is 50. The game will launch with 16 zones.
  • Leveling up allows you to allocate points into Health, Magicka, or Stamina, enabling you to steer your character towards sorcery, maneuverability or taking hits - PCGAMER
  • Leveling up also grants you the choice of skills - PCGAMER
  • There will be skill lines - you can invest in any one of dozens of skill lines, based on your weapons, armour, class, guild affiliation and more - PCGAMER
  • Skills are leveled up through use and at level 5 you choose between two variants -PCGAMER
    [Image: Untitledb.png]
  • These variants have been discussed and predicted to be an off-spec
  • Upon starting a character, you pick between four base classes: Sorcerer, Templar, Dragonknight, and Nightblade. These dictate the style of your spells and abilities. You also choose a faction (also known as “alliance”) and race. There are 3 factions and 9 total races. Each faction has a starting area and specific story and zone advancement series.
  • Having four classes gives you the ability to at least start out on a path, and gives you a foundation for your character build.
  • Exclusive sets of abilities for members of the Fighters’ Guild, Mages’ Guild, vampires, werewolves, PvP players and more - PCGAMER
  • The Dark Brotherhood and Thieves’ Guild won’t be in the game at launch, but these will also have their own skill lines when implemented into the game - PCGAMER
  • You can customize your character fully by utilizing the weapon and armor skill lines.
  • Leveling up allows for a single skill point to be invested in an active or passive ability in any number of skill lines. You start with around 15 – one for your race, three for your class, one for each type of weapon in the game, and one for each of light, medium and heavy armour - PCGAMER
  • medium armour is for stealth, light is geared towards magic and heavy towards defense - PCGAMER
  • Sorcerers can learn how to wield a 2-handed sword, for example, by going down the weapon skill line.
  • Armor skill choices are Light, Medium, and Heavy. This lets a player make a conventionally squishy character a little more tanky.
  • There will be around 15 different skill lines when the game launches. Some of them are tailored toward certain areas of the game, such as the Alliance vs. Alliance skill line. Others are tailored toward the world and the various guilds in the game.
  • Each skill line has sub skill lines.
  • Skill lines have both passive and active skills.
  • Skill lines have ultimate abilities by mastering a tree, allowing the use of special abilities - PCGAMER
  • Players will have a finite pool of point’s, this makes the game easier to keep balanced- PCGAMER
  • There’s a way to unlock the ability to turn into a vampire with a world skill line.
  • Skyshards these allow an alternative way to gain skill points, collect three of these to allocate an additional skill points, this is on top of leveling, you can find them out in the world -PCGAMER
  • 3 Skyshards = 1 skill point, these will probably be BoP and be limited to a set number allowed to prevent ultimate builds.
  • There is no way to reset your skill points.
  • There is, however, enough points available in-game to gain every single skill. Some of these will have to be grabbed after hitting the level cap.
  • There are group synergy abilities that players can utilize to deal extra damage and gain additional effects.
  • There are no cooldowns on any abilities, but each has a resource drain. Magical abilities = Magicka. Martial abilities, sprinting, or sneaking = Stamina.
  • You’ll gain access to many active abilities, but will only be able to have 5 active and usable at a time.
  • Upon choosing an active skill, you can choose to gain ranks in it. Upon reaching rank 4, you can decide to morph the ability, which changes how it works. For example, it can turn a single target effect into something that’s AoE, etc.
  • Morph choices can be respecced.
  • Some abilities will cause guards to attack you.
  • Heals are AoE and cone effects. There are no heals that require a player to target another player.
  • Since sneak uses up Stamina, players can’t stay stealthed all of the time. They can become more difficult to detect while sneaking with the sneak skill line as well as while wearing full medium armor, but there will also be abilities other players can use to reveal sneaking players.
  • Many passive skill lines synergize into other skill lines. Advancing far into the heavy armor line, for example, will give you a boost to your health.
  • Once you hit level 50 and finish your home alliance storyline, you’re able to explore the quests and zones of the other alliances. These post-50 explorations take place in an instance of sorts that scales to your level, is much more challenging, and only allows you to see other players of your same faction. This also lets you further advance your skill sets after level 50.

Exploration
  • For the first time in any elder scroll game, you will be able to fully explore and interact with the areas comprising Tamriel
  • There will be secrets to discover if you decide to push at the boundaries of the map - PCGAMER
  • The Elder Scrolls Online uses phasing to subtly change each zone to reflect the player’s actions. Depending on the choices you make the NPCs you see – even the enemies you fight – may be different to those of other players - PCGAMER

Alliance vs Alliance
  • Alliance vs. Alliance is TESO‘s large scale PvP map that consists of all 3 factions battling it out with sieges, keeps, farms, resources, mobs, and even quests.
  • In AvA (Alliance vs. Alliance) there are mobs that protect central points and keeps.
  • Solo players in AvA will be able to sneak around, kill other players, and work on special quests.
  • Each AvA instance, also known as a campaign, will automatically ensure each faction is balanced as new players join. Players can also choose particular campaigns to be with friends.
  • AvA will be the only form of PvP TESO will launch with.

Player Vs Player
  • there will be a ranking system. You can earn Alliance Ranks, which grant titles and let you purchase weapons and armor.
  • You can buy Seige Weapons with Gold.
  • There will be titles obtainable for partaking in PvP
  • Supply Depots like those found in DAOC will not be in ESO.
  • The Death System gives you two options: 1) Respawn at your place of death for a penalty or 2) spawn back at a “wayshrine”.
  • You can use Lock Picking during PvP, getting attacked takes you out of the Lock Picking screen.
  • Other factions can claim strongholds during PvP. Capturing these in a “chain” will allow you to travel from each more easily. Enemies can block your movement by capturing strongholds to break your chain.
  • Behind-the-lines guerrilla action to be a key precursor to a major offensive - PCGAMER

Dungeons and Enemies
  • Dungeons are 4-man and instanced.
  • Each of the 16 zones will have its own dungeon upon launch.
  • Each will have a Heroic-type version for level 50 players with greater challenges and rewards.
  • The first time you run through a dungeon, it’s essentially in storymode. After that, all the story stuff is cut.
  • Enemies can vary their tactics based on what other enemies are in the immediate area and what the players are doing. Enemies can team up to launch deadly attacks, apply crowd control to players, and interact with dead enemies, etc.
  • Enemies can be a part of a factional synergy which gives them new abilities to look out for. Some of these abilities are based on player abilities.
  • Bosses inside dungeons have similar, augmented abilities to creatures out in the world that look similar to them.
  • There are soloable, challenging bosses out in the world.

Dungeons and End-Game
  • There is no Raiding, but players who enjoy raiding will get their fix with 50+ and 50++ content, open dungeons, dungeon extensions and adventure zones.
  • The development team has promises to give end-game players what they want.
  • Dungeons have Hard Modes, these are essential extended versions of previous dungeons. Players who beat a dungeon earlier in the game will have a chance to go back and visit new areas of that dungeon. These new areas are extensions of the previous dungeon’s story so the higher your level the more of the story and lore you’ll get access to.
  • Hard Modes also drop much better loot.
  • Players who reach the level cap and beat all of their Faction’s PvE quests will have the chance to pick a new Faction’s area to venture through, this is called 50+ and 50++ content. You only get to pick one new faction at a time. If you beat the Ebonheart Pact zone’s you then can choose Daggerfall Covenant or Aldmeri Dominion zones to quest in next. After you beat either of those you can move on to the third zone. These new zones will have much better loot than your original zone and the third zone you choose will have the best loot.
  • With 50+ and 50++ content you will not see enemy players while exploring enemy faction territories, only NPCs.
  • If you go into a public dungeon and you’re on a quest to kill a certain mob it will spawn instantly for you even if another group just killed it. This was put in to prevent mob camping.
  • Dungeons will have traps that you can use to your advantage if you’re cautious enough to spot them.
  • There are currently 16 dungeons in the game.
  • There will be no adventure zones at launch.
  • You won’t see enemy players in any PvE area of the other factions, but will however be able to see people from your own faction allowing guilds and freinds to come together for end-game.

Crafting
  • Tradeskills: Enchanting, Alchemy, Weaponsmithing, Armorsmithing, Provisioner (food and drink).
  • Possible to dabble in all five but only master one, this meaning you can learn basic skills in each or become skilled in your desired profession.- PCGAMER
  • Crafting is very important in the game. It can make the best items in-game.
  • There will be items that are unique to crafting, which gives crafters an important role.
  • Crafters can improve items, even dungeon drops.
  • There are two ways to craft. Using normal ingredients will create items that are previewed beforehand and will always turn out the same. Using additives, you can experiment with making items that feature special, random bonuses. Multiple additives add a greater chance of coming up with something cool.
  • You can then use additives to customize the good you produce: adding elemental damage to an axe, for example, or stamina regeneration to a healing potion - PCGAMER
  • Whatever you want to make will require experimentation akin to Skyrim’s alchemy system - PCGAMER
  • You know you’re making an axe using additives, for example, but you don’t know what stats and bonuses will be on it.
  • Racial crafting exists. Players start out being able to craft items of their own race, but players will also be able to learn the patterns from different cultures.
  • Players will also be able to use racial crafting as a way to give their current weapons and armor a unique and different look.
  • Resources are literally everywhere.
  • Resources and gathering nodes will be useful across all levels. Materials won’t become obsolete at a certain point.
  • Ingredients gathered in the wild – through mining, exploration and hunting – each have four hidden properties that can be applied to items, and these unlock as you reserve engineer looted equipment and skill-up in your chosen craft - PCGAMER
  • Crafting and the economy will be closely tied with PvP - PCGAMER
  • You’ll need craftsmen to upgrade your rams and trebuchets and to contribute towards repairing wall after a siege - PCGAMER
  • Crafting at high-levels focuses on augmenting existing armor and weapons, so think about it as crafters can make your awesome gear even awesome-er - MATT FRIOR

Spells, Skills and Abilities
  • There are 3 major skills trees: Class, Weapon and Armor
  • From the 3 main skill trees are 6 – 7 sub-skill trees that allow you to specialize in weapon types (one-handed, staves, dual wielding, etc.), spells and abilities.
  • Lock Picking is a skill. You’re limited to 23 seconds to pick a lock, there are 5 tumblers, you have to listen for clicks to know when you can let go of a tumbler otherwise your picks will break.
  • You can steal from NPC houses but not from other players.
  • There is an accuracy component in the game, spells and arrows will need to be aimed. No Heat Seeking.
  • Players get Ultimate Abilities start at level 14. Ultimate Abilities depend on your class.
  • Anyone can be a healer if you decided to put points into your healing skill tree. The best healer will be the Templar but that does not mean other classes can not be good healers.
  • Sorcerers can Teleport but range is limited.
  • There’s an ability that allows you to grab an enemy with a chain and pull them towards you.
  • You can do all types of crafting or focus on a specific professions (depends on available points).
  • Classes have specific perks (i.e. Templars have improved healing abilities).

Equipment and Gear
  • Gear will affect a lot more than just those stats: including regeneration rates of Health, Magicka and Stamina as well as critical strikes from weapons or magic. ZAM Article
  • There will be damage types: Cold, Fire, Shock, etc. that help you capitalize on weaknesses of opponents or defend against their strengths. ZAM Article
  • There will be lots of gear sets which will augment additional stats or add effects to the player once complete. ZAM Article
  • Secondary stats / attributes will rely more on enchanting whereas primary stats will depend on how the item was found or crafted. - ZAM Article
  • There will be no gear and ability management "we aren’t currently planning on a “deck” manager, there are so many combinations that it just isn’t feasible" ZAM Article
  • Systems, UI, and Miscellaneous
  • There will be mounts in the game.
  • No player housing currently planned.
  • MacOS will be supported.
  • Achievements will be in the game. The ability to share achievements and screenshots on social media will be available.
  • No dye system on launch.
  • Controller functionality is in place.
  • Full LUI addon support will be in-game.
  • There’s a costume disguise slot that players can use as a wardrobe/RP slot. Costumes drop off mobs and some can even be used to avoid combat like a real disguise.
  • Beta invites were sent out at the end of March with more to come in the near future.

The Gaming Experience
  • Your quest to reclaim your soul from Molag Bal will take place in the territories of your chosen faction and lead you to level 50 - PCGAMER
  • There will be something similar to NEWGAME +1 - PCGAMER
  • You’ll go through previously-inaccessible zones whose difficulty and loot has been enhanced for a top-tier player - PCGAMER
  • Everything is voice acted except your own character. NPC lips match up extremely well to the voice acting. Voice acting has real emotion.
  • Player customization is more elaborate than past Elder Scrolls titles; neck width, nose size, body type (skinny, fat, muscular) and much more.
  • There is a loot window that will allow you to loot individual items or everything at once.
  • There is no carrying weight limit when it comes to inventory; it’s all slot based.
  • There are inventory filters for Armor, Weapons, Misc, etc.
  • Books on the shelves and tables can be read, and in some cases these lead to quests or earn you experience. PCGAMER
  • Alcohol is in the game – not sure if you can get drunk.
  • Third Person view is over the shoulder and cannot be moved. There will be first person with hands in future releases, no hands in current release.
  • Maps may include PoI locations for easy navigation
  • The Dark Brotherhood will be in the game, just not at launch.
  • There are random events that happen in town.
  • You can sheath your weapon at any time outside of combat.
  • The graphics are better than Skyrim on ultra settings but game can be played on very low settings on much older computers. No PC hardware recommendations yet.
  • There are achievements.
  • There is dialogue which allows you to make decisions; to save the maiden or not? All decisions effect you in the future.
  • NPCs will treat you differently based on your race. Altmer show disgust towards Khajiit players.
  • Mods will be allowed but only those that do not give you an advantage over other players or improved graphics.
  • You get to play through ALL of Cyrodiil but it’s somewhat zoned.

Guilds and Guild Keeps
  • At launch there will be a standard guild ranking system.
  • Guilds can own keeps and can garrison them with guards, archers, mages and possibly traps to protect their keeps.
  • Guilds will be alerted if and when a defending player get attacked and how many players are currently in the area.
  • Keeps will sustain damage during a siege and win or lose the victor will have to fund the repair, or leave it damaged.
  • Craftsmen can provide assistance in the repair of the keep
  • Guild Banks, Emblems and leveling are “in the works”
  • Banners for Keeps are a “possibility”.
  • Owning multiple adjacent keeps establishes a transport network to fast-travel to the front line, but territory can be conquered in any order - PCGAMER
  • Players can invade areas surrounding enemy keeps in order to starve them of resources -Tamriel Foundry Interview
  • lumber mills, farms, and mines fuel its upgrade process.
  • Lumber mills help make keep doors stronger and allow them to repair themselves automatically. Farms make keep guards tougher and stronger, mines help reinforce the walls, making them harder to destroy and allowing them to repair themselves over time as well.
  • Taking control of resources around keeps also shuts off various patrols in the vicinity, so it’s always advantageous to take resources before laying siege to the keep itself -Tamriel Foundry Interview

Other Information
  • The player can join multiple guilds. The player can also have their own social network of friends that may or may not be guild mates.
  • The Game keeping to tradition starts with you in prison, you’ve been captured and sacrificed to the Daedric prince Molag Bal, harvester of souls.
  • Your escape from coldharbor will make up the tutorial and introduce you to the controls
  • Paul Sage in this interview said, “Having a robust looking-for-group system is important.” Does this mean we might see an LFG tool? Sounds like it.
  • The game will automatically place people in different server instances since TESO will be on one mega-server, but players can group up with other players and switch between instances in order to play with friends.
  • There will be goodies out in the open world for players to discover including books, treasure chests that can be lockpicked, and random quests out in the middle of nowhere. Going off the beaten path can be good.
  • Quest NPCs don’t have giant question marks, they merely glow.
  • NPC cutscenes give you a Skyrim-style view.
  • Cutscenes are voice acted and allow you to make choices.
  • Each race will have a very specific look for armor, weapons, etc.
  • There will be a first-person view option in the game, which will most likely show your weapons/spells on-screen. The goal is to allow players to play in either first-person or third-person view.
  • Ongoing content and expansion content are definitely on the table.
  • You can create last names when creating a character.
  • There’s a large number of character creation sliders. Included is an age slider as well as individual body part slides.

For those of you yet to read the PC GAMER review, you cannot find it online, i have had to type it up which took ages, believe me, it opens your eyes to a lot of concepts we've been itching to see, i have posted it in the tesoelite forum, follow this link to have a read and look at some art work exclusive to PCGAMER http://www.tesoelite.com/forums/threads/...eview.191/

I hope you dont mind me posting few corrections, since you gathered the stuff from many sources and some are incorrect, some old, some out of context

(May 1st 2013, 04:05 PM)Rhox Wrote: Combat
  • Proper use of the Block and Finesse systems will stun PvE enemies for 4-6 seconds and PvP enemies for about 2-3 seconds.

    - only blocking power attacks has this effect, finesse is resource awarded on successful execution

  • Slow-Mo kills are in the game but require you to master the finesse system and weapon trees.

    - killcam appears only upon final blow of last enemy, if combat was performed with 100% finesse gain

  • Dodging will also be a skill that can be learned.

Dodge is core mechanic very much as blocking is, its not a skill and its available to everyone

  • Spells, Arrows and other Projectiles do not appear to be heat seeking.

Yes they do, hit is connected at the moment you fire. The time before it lands is the window can be used to block/dodge, however you cannot simply move out of the way

  • There will be spells to detect stealthed individuals - Tamriel Foundry Interview

There are skills that increase / reduce detection range. It has not been mentioned if those are active or passive skills

  • Players who are performing well in combat by utilizing dodge, block, and their interruption abilities will be granted Finesse, which gives you extra experience and extra loot. Finesse comes into play during the high levels and while grouping, but can be gained during early levels too.

and ofc finesse is the resource fueling ultimate abilities, which are ... ultimate

Player Advancement, Abilities, and Skills

  • Leveling up allows you to allocate points into Health, Magicka, or Stamina, enabling you to steer your character towards sorcery, maneuverability or taking hits - PCGAMER

I would just scratch the last sentence, both stamina and magicka can be used offensively/defensively

    - 1 point to allocate to primary stat - health/stamina/magicka (increases the chosen resourced by 10 points)
    - 1 skill point to unlock a skill from the skill lines. In order to be able to unlock it, your skill rating needs to be high enough

skill rating increases as you level, but only when you have active abilities from the particular skill lines slotted on your action bar

Once acquired, the skills you have progress with using and rank up. At rank 5 you will be able to choose from 2 slightly altered versions of the skill

  • These variants have been discussed and predicted to be an off-spec

    Uhm.. what?

  • Upon starting a character, you pick between four base classes: Sorcerer, Templar, Dragonknight, and Nightblade. These dictate the style of your spells and abilities. You also choose a faction (also known as “alliance”) and race. There are 3 factions and 9 total races. Each faction has a starting area and specific story and zone advancement series.
  • Having four classes gives you the ability to at least start out on a path, and gives you a foundation for your character build.

The class choice affect nothing but 3 starting skill lines and ultimate abilities, worth mentioning

  • Exclusive sets of abilities for members of the Fighters’ Guild, Mages’ Guild, vampires, werewolves, PvP players and more - PCGAMER

So far we have been revealed

3 Class skill lines, I shall list DK as we know those

    - Ardent Flame
    - Draconic Power
    - Earthen Heart

    6 Weapon skill Lines

    - Two Handed weapons
    - Dual Wield
    - 1h and Shield
    - Bow
    - Destruction Staff
    - Restoration Staff

    3 Armor skill lines

    - Light armor
    - Medium armor
    - Heavy armor

    3 PvP skill lines

    - Battle prowess
    - Siege weaponry
    - Leadership

    2 Guild skill lines

    - Mages guild
    - Fighters guild

    1 Racial Skill line

    2 Disease (lol) skill lines

    - Vampirism
    - Lycanthropy

  • Leveling up allows for a single skill point to be invested in an active or passive ability in any number of skill lines. You start with around 15 – one for your race, three for your class, one for each type of weapon in the game, and one for each of light, medium and heavy armour - PCGAMER

However you can only pick skills if you have high enough skill rating (aka you played long enough, with a skill from the particular line slotted in your hotbar)

  • medium armour is for stealth, light is geared towards magic and heavy towards defense - PCGAMER

Medium armor boosts stamina and melee/bow performance, its not stealth-exclusive

  • Sorcerers can learn how to wield a 2-handed sword, for example, by going down the weapon skill line.

He doesnt need to learn anything, he can use it as much as any class, I would just remove this as it sounds confusing

  • Each skill line has sub skill lines.

    Uhm... what?

  • Skill lines have ultimate abilities by mastering a tree, allowing the use of special abilities - PCGAMER

So far we have seen ultimate abilities only in Class skill lines, it has nothing to do with mastering the line,s as some can be obtained as early as rating 12 to 46 (out of 50, needed for last active ability in the skill line)

  • You’ll gain access to many active abilities, but will only be able to have 5 active and usable at a time.

Worth mentioning that skills tied to weapon/armor work only with those equipped. You can still put them on hotbar, but they will be greyed out

  • Upon choosing an active skill, you can choose to gain ranks in it. Upon reaching rank 4, you can decide to morph the ability, which changes how it works. For example, it can turn a single target effect into something that’s AoE, etc.

You dont choose to rank, it gains ranks with usage. Morph happens at lvl5, not 4

  • Since sneak uses up Stamina, players can’t stay stealthed all of the time. They can become more difficult to detect while sneaking with the sneak skill line as well as while wearing full medium armor, but there will also be abilities other players can use to reveal sneaking players.

Staying still in sneak mode replenish stamina, there is no sneak skill line - its included in Medium armor skill line

  • Many passive skill lines synergize into other skill lines. Advancing far into the heavy armor line, for example, will give you a boost to your health.

There is no passive skill lines, just passive skills, those are mostly tied to their skill line. Boost to health from Heavy armor line will be active only while you wear heavy armor

Player Vs Player
  • You can buy Seige Weapons with Gold.

    alliance points, not gold

And this is where I stopped. You use info from multiple sources and stuff is often repeated. Some like the input from Tamriel Foundry very dated as well

Good corrections there rage.
Gotta say it realy gets out of hand you gotta consider when which source actually got public.

Alot of this stuff has changed SIGNIFICANTLY over time especialy anything regarding the skill lines.

As Rage mentioned, a lot of these information and the sources they have been found from are outdated. I'd suggest posting the date of the articles / sources of where they have come from, so people can judge the information immediately based on the timeline mentioned. There's a significant difference of sources reliability if the information is based on June 2012 as opposed to three days ago.

Also fan sites collect the information from similar way, and may or may not post these time dates, so the information can be outdated.

i don't have the time to back peddle and read every article again, and reference each and every article i have used to compile this list. i will try and update the list though with the suggestions rage has given, a lot of these are worded by magazine articles such as EDGE and PCGAMER, and the content hasn't been changed, so if there wording is confusing don't shoot the messenger, just trying to provide people with some information they may or may not be familiar with. Will do some work on this article over the weekend and try to fine-tune it and tweak the content to ensure the older items i have merely expanded on are removed if they are no longer valid.

Thanks for the feedback Rage, it is appreciated, i will get this modified soon enough and try to get all the content up to date to ensure a nice clean accurate thread :D

Some of the information Rage has corrected in also incorrect, or just a rewording of what is stated above.

Quote:Each skill line has sub skill lines.

Uhm... what?

Morphed abilities, is what he is referring to.

Quote:Proper use of the Block and Finesse systems will stun PvE enemies for 4-6 seconds and PvP enemies for about 2-3 seconds.

- only blocking power attacks has this effect, finesse is resource awarded on successful execution

Blocking will stun an enemy following up with a correct attack will knock the enemy flat on his back. increasing the stun duration, proper use of the finesse system will provide longer duration.

Quote:There will be spells to detect stealthed individuals - Tamriel Foundry Interview

There are skills that increase / reduce detection range. It has not been mentioned if those are active or passive skills

More so consumable than specific skills. Increasing your Sneak skill will provide you with a better chance of not being seen as for detection abilities, more so consumable than a skill.

There are more but I"m lazy.

Nope, blocking normal hits doesnt stun an enemy, only blocking power attacks as I wrote. Again, the only correct followup attack to extend the stun is power attack

By all means please continue, I would like to know anything I might have had put incorrectly, but your post doesnt actually point at anything that wouldnt be correct

When i refereed to blocking i didn't realize i had to be so specific, am amazed at how much nit picking goes on here. As rage said blocking power attacks stuns! which backs up my original post "will stun enemies for 4-6 seconds.

As for the duration dependent on how you perform in that encounter will determine the duration of the stun so the 4-6 seconds i will stick by, maybe reword it to block power attacks to appease the nit pickers!

Thank you for understanding some of the content where others have failed too, i am glad we have people on this forum familiar with whats going on, the only thing i can say i forgot to update is the heat seeking my bad, ill get that fixed.

I didnt mean to sound cocky bro, but those things indeed need to be clarified otherwise they would only spawn more confused people. Saying that blocking stuns would lead uninformed members to idea, that every attack blocked stun your enemy and eventually lead into "OMG MELEE IS NURFED BECAUSE OF BLOCK U NEED TO BE RANGED U NUB LOLZ111!!!"
