I was watching a video on TESO and they brought up an interesting point, will the Aldmeri Dominion and the Daggerfall Covenant have to team up together in PvP against an Ebonheart Pact team.

I mean there are about 300 Ebonheart Pact members more than the Aldmeri Dominion and the Daggerfall Covenant on this site alone!

What are all your thoughts?

Long Live Queen Ayrenn and the Triumphs of the Dominion!

Although the Ebonheart Pact is very popular among Elder Scrolls fans, it appears that Bretons and the more light-skinned elves are quite appealing those who are unfamiliar with the Elder Scrolls series. These fansites often attract the more devoted Elder Scrolls fans as opposed to passing gamers. With this in mind, the factions may be more balanced than one might initially think.

But aside from that, I wouldn't think that the Aldmeri Dominion and Daggerfall Covenant would always need to team up to fight the Ebonheart Pact. Certainly any of the two factions would focus their attention on whoever is in the lead, though that's a constantly shifting prospect and will not lead to a perpetual alliance. An Aldmeri-Daggerfall force against the Ebonheart likely won't be an overbearing concept.

Note: I'm afraid I had to edit your post and remove the guild plug as per the Forum Rules.

Character Profiles:
Endaros Ilmori - Buoyant Armiger
Sunrio - Aldmeri Justiciar

Taren Jucanis - Imperial Deserter (Used for The Black Shroud RP)

First off if 2 factions team up on one then the game is going to suck as far as PvP goes imo.
Second off I wouldn't count on the total people per faction as lots of people might still change their minds and go to other factions, remember there are lots of people that are going to be playing this game hopefully 10s of thousands idk how much people play other big name MMOs but more people better. Some wont be on forums yet and some might be other places but I think it would even out eventually. Well I don't know what the situation will be on the Xbox One, but the PC community will be large.

On another note I don't mind being in the faction with less people, It would only mean I get to fight harder and kill more people in PvP :)

Long live the Queen ;)

Hopefully we do see some temporary alliances....but to me all that would entail is should all three alliances meet in battle at once, should one side start to push ahead the other two choose to only fight that first faction. Once it evens out again any truces between any alliances will be broken.

Im with you 100%. I wish it was financially viable to make an mmo for people that don't mind completely open world pvp. Think UO or even Dayz. Im not a "hardcore" gamer myself in the sense that I am kind of limited by work and other things with how often I can play but when I do play I like the more hardcore style. Having to cater to the softer (for lack of a better word) crowd really kills me game wise

I want there to be risk in a game. If I die, while I might get ticked off, I want there to be a legitimate punishment to it ie. losing my equipment or something. Most MMO's now don't have any real downside if your character dies.

As to the topic, i'm sure it could happen occasionally but it would be a tumultuous alliance at best. It all depends on how the campaign is going. If EP is just dominating AD and DC then it would only make sense to team up but I would imagine they would turn on each other the first chance they got. Plus im sure there would be some people that would attack any other alliance no matter whos working together.

I don't think it will be fun to play a storyline and getting ganked, remember that ESO is big just imagine walking to place for 10minutes just to find out you can't do it because enemy players are waiting for you.

I rather have a huge Pvp area (Cryodill) the size of 3/4provinces.

ebonheart pact = vikings and drow. . . successful combination wouldnt you say?

but yeah, you are going off of this fan site that has a total of what? 5k members? thats hardly indicative of the overall playerbase. TESO facebook page has 1.3million likes. you'd be better off asking them.

Never refer to Dunmer as Drow.

EVER.

By arrow. By blade.
By tooth. By claw.
By shock. By frost. By flame.
The Aldmeri Dominion will dominate Tamriel.
Our enemies will fall until the Throne is ours.

oh please. you think every dunmer player out there isnt drawn to that race because of Drizzt who put dark elves on the map in the first place? you dont think there are players who are exacting fantasies of Drizzt when playing a dunmer? D&D created dark elves long before ES came around.

i mean, its whatever. dunmer, drow, dark elves, whatever.

Dark Elves used to be Chimer with golden skin similar to the Altmer before Vivec, Almalexia and Sotha Sil pissed off Azura after the battle of red mountain. You might want to consider reading a bit of the lore behind the Dunmer before you start comparing them to Drow and Drizzt.

Crossing over lore like that doesn't work, I'm in agreement with @Tabbycat. You can't really say something is one thing because that's the way it is somewhere else.
