The Bromlokiir, meaning "The Children of the Northern Sky" in the ancient dragon language, is a nordic clan that consists of enthusiastic warriors. We value honor, strength, bravery and noble deeds! We believe in Sovnegarde and the Hall of Valor, built and inhabited by Shor! We worship Kyne, the Mother of Men, the widow of Shor, godess of the Sky and of the warrior. With that we also worship Shor. god of the dead and of all Nords, the Children's God.
Our Clan name strikes fear in the heart of our enemies! We posses the strength, tenacity and toughness of the Bear, the agility of the Hawk, the fierceness of the Sabre Cat and the dominance in battle of the Dragon. We fight like wolves, together, as a pack, as one. We have the blood of the north. No one can best the Bromlokiir!
You will learn to fear us. Everytime you hear the name of the Children of the Sky your blood will chill and you shall shudder in fear, as if the ice cold wind of Skyrim tears through your clothing on a cold, Frost Fall night.
And when you hear the sound of our warhorns and drums and battle-cry you will know what to do: Run,
but Alas, it will be too late to run...

The Clan Lore
It all started when...
Thorin of Atmora came on the same boat as Ysgramor to Tamriel. He was one of the first humans whom ever set foot in Tamriel. As a boy he wanted to get away from Atmora, away from the civil war that was going on there. With a new life ahead of him he arrived at Hsaariks Head, the most northern part of Skyrim and consequently... Tamriel. After settling in the legendary, new founded city: Saarthal, the Nords befriended the Snow Elves. All went well untill the population started to grow as waves of newcomers came to the new continent. The Elves starting to see the Nords as a threat to their society. They decided take action and slaughtered almost all Nords in the city of Saarthal. This tragic night is now known as the Night of Tears. Thorin lost many friends and family and even the girl he planned to marry. Because of this Thorin grew a bitter hate for the Snow Elves. The remainder Nords were hunted down untill eventually Thorin and Ysgramor with his two sons remained. Together they fled back to Atmora. Ysgramor and his sons grew close to Thorin during the tragic events that had occcured to them and their people.
So Ysgramor gathered a huge army, known as "the Five Hundred Companions". They all went back to Tamriel and crushed the Snow Elves (also known as the Falmer) once and for all. Through the slaughtering of Snow Elves they found new cities, also clearing the way for future settlers. Through the years Thorin and Ysgramor and his sons drove the elves further out. Finally in the First Era (1E 113), Ysgramors eldest grandson Harald and Thorin united Skyrim in its customary borders. Harald became the High King of Skyrim. Thorin becoming one of the new kingdoms heroes and important figures.
Ysgramor had brought with him the religion of "The Old Ways". That consisted of worshipping animal gods (wolf, snake, hawk, whale, bear, etc). The most important animal god was the dragon. During Ysgramors and Haralds reign the dragon priests were always fighting over who wielded the highest form of power in Skyrim. Partly succeeding the dragon priests became tyrannical. The dragons who only seemed to like this dragon worshipping and were only happy to encourage it. Consequently they started helping the dragon priests out. Dragons believed that they were superior to men, for they were more powerful and power to them is the only truth so therefore they must be superior than men. Eventually the populace rebelled and the Dragon War had begun.
At first men were easily outmached by the Dragons untill finally Kynareth, the godess of the sky, (in Nordic: Kyne) intervened and gave the Nords the ability to shout like dragons. As we all know: Paarthunax and other dragons sided with mankind and taught the Thu'um to them. Thorin being along Gormliath, Hakon and Felldir the first to ever shout like a dragon did. With that the tides of war changed and after a long and bloody campaign the Nords defeated the dragons along with Aldiun the World-Eater.
Thorin being in ever gratitude to Kyne formed the Bromlokiir. Meaning The Children Of The Northen Sky in the Dragon language. The language that Kyne had taught him and the other Nord heroes. With that name he called himself and his fellow clan members the Children (devout followers) of Kyne and her widow Shor who grants entrance to Sovngarde and the Hall Of Valor when a Nordic warrior dies. Thus Thorin became the first Bormah of the Bromlokiir. In the remainder years of his life Thorin lived in Skyrim in peace with his sons, daughters and wife.
After Thorins death, his eldest son Haldir became the Bormah of the Bromlokiir. He led the Bromlokiir into the great Skyrim Conquest with King Vrage the Gifted (Haralds son). The Bromlokiir fought among the other Nordic clans for Skyrim. Though the Bromlokiir clan produced the strongest and bravest fighters. The conquest led to the First Empire of the Nords. Throughout the era the descendants and Clan leaders of the Bromlokiir fought for Skyrim and meddled with important affairs that deemed their attention. The clan gained a reputation of excelling in battle, figting with tenacity and being known for their bravery. The enemy learned to fear the name.
It is also worth noting that in the past members of the Bromlokiir clan have been Jarls of Winterhold and once of the Pale. Since Thorins Hall, the clan hall of the Bromlokiir, is situated in the snowy pine forests south of Winterhold. Apart from that they have ruled land for short periods of time, lost it, gained something else. On and on it would go.
Roughly twenty years before the events of TES:O there was an Akavir invasion in which the Bromlokiir, among the rest of Tamriel, suffered a lot, loosing a great deal of clan members. Amongst those losses was the father of Beor: Wulfgar Bormahu, the Bormah before Beor. The Bromlokiir basically "disbanded".
Now it is our task, as descendants of The Bromlokiir to restore the clan and bring it back to its former glory!

On clan icon:
Why the Bear?
The Bear symbolises the Nords, big, strong, tough and resistant against the cold. The bear stands stands for protection (of our own). And the ability to return from the brink of destruction. For an example: The Nords being nearly driven out of Skyrim but they returned with the 500 companions and drove the elves out in return. Aswell as The Dragon War: The Nords being nearly defeated by the dragons but mankind (the Nords) striked back and won the war. And now once more: Being defeated and shattered by the Akavir but returning once more stronger and greater than ever!
NOTE: This particulair clan icon is most likely to be temporarily. Though we'll keep the whole bear idea.

Thrinn Snow-Fox:
Born 2E 513. Thrinn Snow-Fox is the "fictional NPC" in the Bromlokiir. Thrinn is an old man who was a hunter and a scout back in the day. He had no permanet residence, he lived in the wilderness. The man was continously on the move. He lived off what the forests and woods of Skyrim had to offer. Thrinn being a skilled tracker himself, used to scout for the Bromlokiir before its downfall. Numerous times Thrinn had been of assistance to the Bormah before Beor: Wulfgar Bormahu, Beors father. Not only was he of much help to Wulfgar, he has also helped Beors grandfather: Borgas Bormahu. Thrinn started helping out at the age of ten with his father and uncle. Whom Thrinn had adopted the hunters life of.
As the years passed by Thrinn became old and eventually he wasn't fit for the life in the wild no more. One day he joined Beor and the rest of the clan at Thorins Hall. It was his will to become a servant to the clan and a steward to Beor the rest of his days. In exchange for being a member of the clan. Thrinn has seen a lot in his day and members may ask him for stories to tell.
Thrinn may only be controlled by @"Baldar the Loyal" (Balgir Winterborn) or me, @"Beor of Skyrim" (Beor Bormahu).

_______________________________________________________________________________________
HOW TO JOIN:
In order to join you need you must send me, @"Beor of Skyrim", a PM with your characters background story. The story must include your characters full name, age, personality, some type of class info, background and most important of all: His or her motives on joining the Bromlokiir? Was his or her family always part of the clan or is your character from a different origin?
As clan leader I shall review the story. If neccesary I might ask of you to make a few adjustments here or there untill it is adequate enough. We do this because we want every single members character to have a story. This makes them way more interesting. The story does not have to be very long or super interesting. We tend to prefer a simple, realistic, logical background story of a regular Nord with a few interesting personality traits.

ON RANKS:
1. Bormah
The Bormah, literally meaning father, is the leader of the clan. Traditionaly the Bormah is of the Thorin bloodline. So far there have only been Bormahs of the Thorin bloodline. When the Bormah dies his eldest son will be named Bormah, if the son is not of age yet the Onikmun will act as leaders of the clan. If the deceased has no sons, his daughter will be granted the title. Should the Bormah have no offsprings at all the Onikmun will have to vote for the next Bormah. Their options will lie among the rest of the Thorin bloodline (the Bormahs siblings for an example). When adressing the Bormah with his first name you add an "u" to Bormah, for an example: Thorin Bormahu, Beor Bormahu, etc.
2. Vahlok
The Vahlok, literally meaning guardian. You could see the vahlok as a Housecarl. Though a vahlok is more than just a housecarl. While the role of the vahlok is to primairly guard and protect the Bormah, the vahlok also takes upon the role of tutor, mentor and adviser. Most of the time the vahlok also acts as the highest adviser of the clan. Though this has not always been the case. The rank is bestowed on a highly trusted and loyal person in the clan. Ontop of that the vahlok has to be capable warrior. The vahlok symbolizes Tsun, the shield-brother of Shor. Should the vahlok come of age that he is too old to fight, provided that the Bormah is in need of a capable vahlok because he and his clan find himself in times of war, than the old vahlok needs to step down and another one shall be appointed. The vahlok will than be "degraded" to Onikmun.
Current vahlok:
@"Baldar the Loyal" (Balgir Winterborn)
3. Onikmun
Onikmun, literally meaning wiseman/(wisemen). The Onikmun serve to advice the Bormah. They don't hold direct power over the clan but their word is highly respected by its members. In times of war the Onikmun serve as captains. They might have to seperately lead groups of clan warriors, among all other things captains are requested to do in times of war. The title of Onikmun can be seen as an honorary title.
Current Onikmun:
- @"Ingvar the Fearless"
- @"Bormir Dalgaard"
4. Zeymah/Briinah
Literally meaning brother/sister. This rank makes up the bulk of the clan. Everyone in the Bromlokiir is seen as equal. Only the Bormah holds direct power over clan members.
