About The Covenants Sword (Xbox ONE)
Main
"Many shall fall for ours to rise"
These are harsh times, times of death, times of war. High King Emeric does not like to lose soldiers, in fact he hates it. This hate gave him an idea, something he could not do until recently. So a meeting commenced, personally telling his top Generals from each faction to gather together their most skilled, loyal, resourceful soldiers to form a group capable of carrying out The Daggerfall Covenants more.... off-the-charts missions, missions set to not only save our mens lives, but to take the enemies. The Covenants Sword was established, taking orders directly from the Generals and even the High King himself. We may not be known throughout the lands as the Elite fighting force at Daggerfalls command yet, but with thanks to High Kings scare tactics of keeping few enemies alive after battle, we will soon send shivers down the enemies spines and back up again

A guild is not a rank, social standing, or amount of treasure accumulated, a guild is it's people.

-The Covenants Sword is a guild of players both new, and seasoned to the MMORPG world.
We do PvE, PvP with some focus on RPing (if we can get enough members that want to).

-We love to have fun, many of us have known each other for years and like to have a good time while still understanding that video games are our passion and therefore we do take it serious and realize that there is a time and place for everything.

-We have no problem helping those in need, whether new to MMO themselves or just looking for good people to play with and get the job done.

- As we will be PvP and PvE playing, we ask that you understand that some members may prefer one or the other, after all, understanding is half of working together.

- We more than welcome MMORPG "veterans" and advice, as both can be substantially rewarding as long as they're in good faith, that means don't think because you were an officer in a guild from WoW or Everquest that you will run the show.

-We are an adult guild, meaning as much as we may friendly bash each other, that does not mean degrade, talk down to, or blast profanity. I will not tolerate any racism, sexism, or hate mongering of any type....unless you're hating on enemy alliances, then what is said is probably true!

-We follow a strict yet reasonable chain of command, meaning I won't always be around so my officers are in charge, this does not mean when they say "jump" you say "how high" or "from which mountain", but if an officer tells you that you need to contribute to the guild more, then that's what you need to do. I do not assign officers because they are close friends or people I have played with for a long time, I promote based off knowledge. This meaning anyone who joins can eventually become a leader in this guild.

That being said, here is the current ranking system and prerequisites, although you should note that the game may have/allow a different ranking ladder so this is subject to change.

Military Ranks-The officers will be assigned their positions based on not only loyalty, leadership, drive, and all around knowledge, but amount of recruiting and help they put into the guild. You make a powerful sword for a guildmate without charging them, donate resources for tradeskills, or help train the new recruits ....you will be reward with promotion, in game rewards and respect among your peers.

The Enlisted with be promoted based off performance and recruiting. Before and enlisted is promoted, whether it's to Sergeant or an Officer, the current officers will convene to decide why the person should be promoted, and interview this person. If you are to be promoted, you have the right to decline without any consequence, after all it is a big step going from enlisted to officer and not everyone may be willing to give/have the time for the position.

Officers
---------
-Commander: These are my second in command. They deal directly with myself and have control over the guild when I am not present. They help organize raids, PvP, PvE, training, trading, and punish those who fail to follow our guidelines. There will only be a pair of Commanders at any given time, this is the most prestigious rank and not for the part-timer. They will be recognized by all for many reasons, prey you don't know them for punishment.

-Captain: The leaders of our guild. They show neither fear nor mercy. Leaders of individual races and loyal to the legion, they command the enlisted and are in charge of their own race unless other race leaders are not present. Meaning if you are the Orc Captain, and the Bretons highest rank online is Sentinel, you are in charge of him. These are also guild recruiters, they are the lowest rank of officers yet still given authority. They are allowed to help set up PvP, PvE and raids with the Commanders, there will be two captains from each race.

Enlisted
---------
-Sentinel: Skilled in fighting and familiar with an abundance of enemies and the land itself, these are the ones in charge of recruiting, which is part of how they will be promoted, the more people you recruit, and the more reliable the recruited are, the more likely you are to be promoted. You will be part of raid, PvE, and PvP discussion and will have more say in these events than any other enlisted, but aren't to the point of major decision making.

-Sergeant: The troops that show promise but haven't yet had the chance to fully prove themselves. These will make up the bulk of the Guild, taking orders from latter ranks but having little authority over the Privates. The only real authority you have is if an Sentinel or higher places you in temporary command (such as splitting up in PvP)

-Private: These are the grunts. Whether you're blasting a Nord with a fire ball, cutting the head of a werewolf, or crafting a new potion, you're doing it because it's what you were told. Yes, you can go out, do quests, or just adventure for yourself...but when you're told we're going to battle, whether it's PvP or a raid, you had better show up or be offline, we don't have time for leeches in our guild so you need to prove you are a part of The Covenants Sword.

Anyone is allowed to work on tradeskills, it's encouraged in fact, and as we progress we will have specific tradeskill rankings. When we have enough people I would like to establish set trades so we always know who to go to for what or who to donate to when we find things we may not be able to use, and also as you become more skilled in a trade, you may be rewarded greatly for your dedication.

When we have enough members, we will also be having events, such as duels, PvP challenges, and raid challenges with rewards based on kills, also rewards to individual players who go above and beyond, especially in donating to the guild.

Recruitment for now consists of just inboxing myself with a description about yourself/character and what you would like out of the guild/game.

So far we have roughly 18 people, I say "roughly" because some people haven't got the Xbox One yet and aren't entirely sure if they are going to be able to get one when the game comes out, about 12 have the console and are ready to play currently.

All the basics are there to get things started and as we get people added there I will be happy to add more information about the guild, the members and the game in general.
