Who are we?

The Dragoon Brotherhood was founded in the now closed MMO named The Matrix Online, and for six and a half years since then we have travelled MMOs aiming to create a strong community that not only works together and respects one another, but aims to be the best they can be. With this in mind we have established ourselves as a tight knit community, with very skilled players that not only aim to be the most dangerous men and women in PvP, but strong members of a family that has outlasted thousands of guilds.

When you join the Dragoons you will be part of a family that works together to not only have as much fun as possible, but to also prove ourselves as some of the greatest PvP'ers around, be it through dueling, or Guild Wars themselves.

If you enjoy PvE or crafting then there will be plenty of members here who enjoy that also, as we prefer to explore everything the game has to offer.

What can you expect?

A Guild that values YOU, for who you are, not your what gear you have.
PvP as much as possible, from tournaments and events we host, to outright chaos!
A tight-knit community void of drama.
Gamers that can kick serious butt, but have a good time laughing while doing so.
Experienced Leadership
Organization that has been honed over 6.5 years.
Unique events that will keep you entertained.
All forms of content, from PvE runs, to dedicated crafting.
A populated forums, active vent, and welcoming community.

════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

Sounds awesome! How do I join?

If you think this community is what you are looking for, I guarentee we are really going to shake The Elder Scrolls up as we have in many other places. We will not only have as much fun as we possibly can, but we will do this in a drama-free atmosphere, which at the same time, isn't going a bunch of stiffs. If you wish to apply, please follow the following steps:-

1) Visit our website, and read through the tabs of information about us, particularly the Rules.
2) Once done, click the recruitment tab, and complete the application.
3) When you have completed the application, we shall respond as fast as humanly possible, certainly within 24 hours.
4) If we choose, we may need to ask further questions, please check back regularly to answer, or even arrange a time to get you in!
5) As a last word, we have lots of applications, and not everyone makes it. When handling applications there are many things we look for, please do not take it personally if we feel this guild is not right for you.

═════

Above all things we are just a bunch of gamers that like to have a good time and play hard. We are not huge, instead favouring quality over quantity, and we are not for all, but there are members that have been here for years and have frequently say there is nothing like us.

Don't settle for anything less, apply today, and be part of a Guild aiming to create a real legacy here in ESO!

Weekly Update

It's officially February and we all know what that means, this is the one time of the year where rivalries get resolved, battles rage an entire month and one member is crowned our best player of 2013. The Olympics has come, spanning the entire month it will spread across multiple games and MMOs to find just who is the best. I am the reigning champion and have won it three times, and will be aiming to replicate it. This year however it looks to be incredibly close with many great players. Let's take a look at the main news for this week!

The Olympics has come!

Every year we host an Olympic tournament to find just who is our best player. We spread across multiple games, multiple genres, hosting tournaments in multiple evenings. It truly is one of our greatest works during the year's calender and it's our most anticipated event. If there is one thing the Dragoons love above all things, it's fighting! This year the game list has been chosen to create an extremely level playing field, from MMOs, to FPS', to racing games, all types of games are represented. The actual event begins on Wednesday, but anticipation is already boiling, and everyone is preparing to earn the prestigeous crown.

We host many events in the Dragoons, but the Olympics is perhaps our most ambitious and has for many years been our best event.

We have chosen Aldmeri Dominion as our home

After much deliberation, a vote was passed and we have decided that the Aldmeri Dominion will be our home. Honestly this alliance's lore and overall character fits us nicely, not to mention that it's not going to be the majority alliance, meaning we will have the tougher option. Our intentions is to stick with our alliance and help make it the top alliance there is. We aim to be the front-runners in PvP, and we definately have the character to do it, especially with future developments.

It has always been a source of amusement to us that many "PvP" guilds feel they need to all join the same alliance. Frankly we just think this is embarrasing for them, proving right off the bat that they are not even that good. To us, we consider ourselves a true PvP guild, and will look for the greatest challenge to earn the greatest glory. We don't like to join the same alliance as every other "1337 PvP guild", making a little alliance with them, and call ourselves great players. We like to fight against everyone and all, the more the better. That's the mentality that you will find within our community.

We have returned to GW2

In an effort to get used to a closer combat system to the ESO, we have decided to roll back to GW2. This is assured a return until the release of ESO. Within this game we will be running tournaments, training our members, and enjoying it for what it is. The great thing about GW2 is that it has a very commited development team while only being B2P.

Feel free to check out the game with us if you intend to join the Dragoons! We strongly recommend it!

Final Word

The Dragoon Brotherhood does all it can for our members, we host events, we train, we play, and we challenge ourselves. Most guilds claim to be good, but really they just follow the ordinary guild style. What guild here can say they run an Olympics every year? What guild can say they have multiple calender events that are each unique and different? Which guild can say that not only are they good at PvP, but they help everyone within their community? Which guild can sit there and say that they haven't had a member leave in MONTHS.

Stop settling for guilds that just crumble, stop settling for guilds that just get by.

Join us, and be part of something unlike anything else.

Our Olympics begin this week as we play multiple games to find the best among us, in all good competitive spirit of course. It will stretch the entire month of February and will feature every member, getting involved and having a great time.

This, among other things, is just a taste of what we do here and why we are one of the most unique guilds out there.

I say, been nearly going a full year for me being in the Dragoon brotherhood, i tell you, it's seriously nothing you imagine a ''guild'' would be, tbh we crushed that type of description and the really true description is, family, i remember when i joined the dragoons and bam, 2-3weeks passed and i was just mind blown, never ever were i thinking a guild could have this type of strong relationship, we go through battles together, we fight to death together, we are a family that really cares for each other, we aren't some kind of community that if we see someone of us is horrible (for example) in pvp and is utter ''noob'' we dont think oh, ''what a waste get out of here'', but we see each other as brothers and sisters, not trying to say we are a cult, but we are a community that really values each other truely. We improve each other to become the strongest we ever could possibly imagine.

in good moments, and bad, in all we are together, no game will break us or seperate us, nor any person will, we will always stand strong, and TES will be another battlefield where we will release the strenght, the mind we have built upon, all from simple but important mindset, Friendship, brotherhood and teamwork. that we always have been standing for, that has keept this family live for years.

I am glad i found this place, this community that i can call. Home.

Watch out Ebonheart and daggerfall, true battles will come

Well meant Hidden. Perhaps one day your outfit and mine shall meet for a gentlemen's duel; mustaches optional but highly recommended.

We are more the Arnold types, wearing heavy 5am stubbles, guzzling steroids, and trying our best to save chain smoking damsels that probably only run with us because they think we can offer a bigger pay check.

With that being said, a duel is a perfect way to explore each other's cultures. After all, there is nothing like a rough and tumble between two gentleman ;)

On a side note, this is a completely weird retort... no homo.

Weekly Update

The Olympics are under way, Dorek is sleeping upto 24 hours (lol), and Lulu is under a tyrant's reign. It's been an odd one for The Dragoons this week, but an electrifying one nonetheless.

The Olympics opened brilliantly

Every year the Olympics deliver, but this year was perhaps one of the best openings we have had for the Olympics. A big entrance of members and APB would be home for the first round. Some surprises happened as veterans slumped, and Drake, who has only played APB for one night, became the unlikely winner in a very close contest.

It was a brilliant start and we have events spread out across multiple games, from APB, to Poker. We always run events, always create things that not only make us unique, but an exciting place to be a part off. This is what sets us apart from the rest of the crowd.

Winning and winning

We are just back for some tournament play in GW2, and it took a matter of hours for us to start winning multiple tournaments from free to play. It's been a great start, and we are constantly testing our new tactics and team compositions. We are definately looking forward to playing in the match-making system come the next patch, and we are more than confident that we can get off to a good start.

We have just returned to GW2, and our large ingame activity is PvP right now. This has, and will always be the case, but we do enjoy all forms of content, be it instances or running around naked. Above all things we just relax, have a good time, and own noobs. If this is your thing, then we will be perfect for you.

In regards to applications

In a final notice, we need to clarify something. This guild may have a great time, and may have very little drama, but this is because we take a great deal of time in finding the right people for us. Lately we have been finding that alot apply without even bothering to read a key part of information on our application template that states:-

"On each question please provide a good answer, one sentence replies, or short responses, will be rejected."

The reason we ask this is because we genuingly want to get to know you! It's not a test, it's just learning about you, so we can build a connection, an interest you. It's our way to see that you are just like us, and when people don't bother following that you not only look boring, but frankly it insults us.

Effort is important, if you can't even be bothered to read our application guidelines, then why should we bother with accepting you? Quite simply put, we are a community that individually we put as much effort as we can to make this guild a better place. If you just put a minimal amount of effort, without even following what we ask, do you honestly think that we would be interested in you?

Hopefully that should clear up the reason a vast majority of applications are rejected.

Final Word

With that being said, we are having a great time within our community right now, we are in a sense of re-vitalization, we are heavily building for The Elder Scrolls, with World of Darkness in our long distant future. Whatever your game, whoever you are, we are a strong community that values YOU, this is the right place if your tired of just being "the tank".

I have been a member of The Dragoon Brotherhood almost 7 months now and as any other member will vouch this isn't simply a guild, it's a family, a brotherhood. We are not some pushover guild held together by the game like some guilds that disband when the game stops being interesting, we have played across multiple MMO's sticking together, regardless of what the game is, we play it together. Just like every member of The Dragoon Brotherhood I am looking forward to TESO and more importantly I am looking forward to dominating in this game. Enemies of The Aldmeri Dominion and more importantly enemies of The Dragoon Brotherhood, beware.

Weekly Update

It's been one hell of a ride both in events and guild status since my last update, but nonetheless, it has been an incredible time. I am incredibly tired due to work, so appologies if this isn't up to my usual standard... If you could call it that...

Olympics has been excellent

For sheer quality, one has to say this has been our greatest Olympics so far. Every event has been intense, exciting, and each event has been a stand-alone excellent event. The biggest credit goes to our members who have attended as much as possible, and have contributed to making this a fun, and very competitive Olympics. From APB to GW2, to Poker tonight, each event has had it's own story, it's own laughter filled moments, and that's the best thing about this event and this guild. Only in a guild like ours can we put an event together, crossing multiple games, and have as much fun and laughter as we do.

Don't settle for boring, one-event-a-month guilds, that have as much desire to run the guild as a crack addict desires to get clean.

As well as GW2 we have been dipping our toes into APB

After it's appearence in the Olympics several of our members have started playing APB, although we are not going to officially recruit for this one, it's yet another game that our members, and anyone interested in joining can play while passing the time to ESO. As for APB itself the lag issues exist that our members have suffered with still exist, as do the constant nerd rage and hackusations from the APB community.

The Dragoons fight for their victory, if we lose, it's because we are not good enough, and rather than blame it on whatever excuse, we work together to get better. Champions are not made over night, and we have become a powerful force because we understand this very clearly.

Final Word

With that being said, that's all for the major news this week. Olympics is dominating proceedings as it always does throughout February. It's an event I pour alot of time into making it the best it can be, and frankly last year wasn't up to standard. After changing some things up, I have to say, I never envisioned it would work out this well, even though every Olympics has been very exciting every year.

Remember, if you're interested in joining, feel free to apply, ask questions, and learn more about us!

Playing Elder Scrolls solo is fun... but when playing with the people you have been playing games with for over 5 years, I think my mind might not be able to handle it.

If you are looking for awesomeness - here it is!!

Lots of experience from other MMOs is also a big plus, so we know what we are doing.

Weekly Update

After another fanatical week, we head into the twilight of February which of course means the closure of the Olympics. It's been one hell of an event and made up for what was a lacklustre event last year. With the closing comes room for more events and we have more than enough to keep you all entertained!

The Olympics draw to a close

As of writing there are only two events to go, that will be completed by Sunday. For sheer quality on an event per event basis this Olympics has been outstanding. We've had a great turn out, a superb performance by everyone involved, and a real sense of enjoyment, competitiveness and buzz surrounding the event. Perhaps the only thing that marred the event was that there was no desperate fight for the championship at the end, after I captured my forth Olympic Championship, but every year is different and there is still plenty of time to grab a tournament win!

Our year always opens with an Olympic event, and if this Olympics is anything to go by, we have a superb year ahead of us. This year showed an even greater coverage, an even smoother event style that has been honed over the years, and a simpler way to get everyone involved. It has been a resounding event and this is the type of quality that you can expect from the Dragoons when it comes to events, management, and general day to day life.

Plenty of events upcoming

With the Olympics closing this week, we have plenty of events organized by many members to fill the void, from Quiz evenings, to Poker Nights, we have everything for everyone, and there is certainly plenty of oppotunity for laughs and fun. What set's us apart is that everyone does something for this guild, as well as this, they turn out for other events and just relax and have a good time.

We don't have to worry about drama, insecurities or idiots, we just keep it cool, and have a good time.

Elder Scrolls Recruitment buzz intensifies

We have had alot of applications for ESO lately and this is more than positive, however alot aren't making it. We love meeting new people, but here's a tip, read the application guidelines. Put simply, if you can't be bothered to fill out the application properly and fully, we can't be bothered to welcome you.

Our methods may seem strong, but it's this combined with many other factors that seperates us from the rest. It's this that means we have 0 drama, it's this that makes us so successful. We don't want people who just want to join because of our success, we don't want members who just join because we looked "cool". We want people who value a strong community of people from all over the world. Who admire brotherhood and teamwork, and through this want to achieve everything they desire.

Final Word

It's been a very busy week, and with the month closing we have a Guild Meeting up and coming quite soon. As well as this we will be running a series of interviews of our top three Olympic competitors, so look for that on our website next week!
