Iogairn looked at Rogatus. The young mage was licking his lips and flicking his eyes from the Dunmer, the Breton, Iogairn and the book. Iogairn felt some sympathy and picked up the book for him. "There you go" he said, handing the book back. Rogatus looked thankful. He turned back to this new mage. "Good mages have died on this expedition. Are you sure your abilities are up to the challenge?"

"Are you certain that they will launch an second expedition to the Urtia mine?"
"- Certain as rocks crumble upon time."
"Then the six of us shall ride ahead, we'll enter the mine, dwell into its depths and attempt to find this... Artifact before the others reach it."
Nehemia turns his head to an dark elf. "This shall be an fitting trial for our initiate, infiltrate the expedition. Make sure to slow them down in every way possible, when your suspicions rise that we may be close, make sure to notify us."

Dals stood in front of the sign. "At last" he mumbled to himself as he threw the inns door open. He walked to the bar counter and turned around. There he stood, in his finessed leather armor, an sword hanging from his belt in graceful holster, shield hanging from straps at his back. He yelled out loud "So, where does an adventurer sign up for this... Expedition?"

((All stories need antagonists.))

A shout from outside distracted Iogairn from his conversation. He looked at the newcomer and smiled. A young adventurer, no knowledge of how to deal with situations, wanting glory and treasure. The way he held himself, his equipment screamed untested. Iogairn smiled and held out his hand. "Iogairn, at your service. What experience do you have of Dwemer."

(I was going to add some antagonists in but we can go your way or both)

(The more the merrier, also [.hr] is an good command in seperating out-of-story texts)

"A race of mer that mysteriously vanished, leaving behind ruined cities filled with traps for fools to stumble upon." Dals smiled and approached Iogairn. Master Iogairn, I assure you, I have no intent of being foolish."

Nehemia sniffed the air. He raised his left hand up and the others halted behind him. "The stench, it reeks of Falmer.. But Falmer aren't the only ones who dwell here." He quickly swinged his torch to the right, only for the light to reveal an Falmer's corpse. The men behind him draw swords. One of the men walked up to the corpse and placed his hand on its skin. "Its fresh." Nehemia grins. "Greedy little adventurer, what monsterities have you awoken in these depths?" He extended his right hand forward for the torch to reveal the pathway down the massive stairs. "We move on."

Iogairn gave a forced smile. His first glance had evidently been wrong. Now something put him on edge about the newcomer.
"Good plan. And its not master, due to some warped philosophy of mine. But you have me at a disadvantage. What is your name?"

(.hr like this?)

"Dals Eridur". The dark elf bows before Iogairn. "Then I shall respect your philosophy, though Master Iogairn. Our behavior does not change within an instant." Dals turns his focus on the mage. "I believe you are of his company, yes?"

Iogairn looked behind his shoulder at the mage, who was looking bewildered. He nodded slowly.
"I have joined this expedition along with some... others" he was curious. The young Breton knight had not spoken in a long while and the Nord was still unconscious. There was still this mage but he needed to know more.
"So Dals, how long have you been in this proffesion, whatever that may be?

Aeron looked at the conversation. The mage had not been extremely informative, but he'd gathered what he needed to know from the others. The knight looked outside. The big Nord with the viscous temperament was still sleeping in the horse trough. He asked the mage how much the job was paying.
"Um- a lot, um- worth your while, um- excuse me." and continued to read his book. Aeron rolled his eyes.

Dlesyddion looked with indifference at the newcomer. What a slime. He called that Iogairn master. This isn´t what a Dunmer should do. This Nord actually turned his skills into question. Anyway, he was not here to impress anyone. Dals wrapped the magician in the conversation. While Iogairn was distracted, withdrew Dlesyddion and sat at the counter.

He noted that the innkeeper was pretty bad mood. Perhaps there had been a fight, which is why the Nord was carried out. Just when he thought of the man, he pushed the door open. He was soaking wet and dripping from head to toe. Purposefully he went to the table of the magician and picked up a jar of the Mead. The glass he raised in the Breton knights direction, and sat at the bar next to the Dunmer.

Aeron got up and puposefully strode over to the Nord.
"Perhaps we got off to a bad start." he said wth a smile "I'd like to introduce myself. I am Aeron of the house of Gaerford. I believe you owe a certain debt to the barman. Perhaps I can settle-"
"Only if you can pay 100 septims for the drinks." the barman called "And 20 for the cracked floor." Aeron's smile froze on his face. He pulled out his coinpurse.
"The offer remains."

Idriar looked at the Breton. He really wanted to pay his debt. He squinted his eyes. As a honorable Nord how could he let such a deed unresponded? Aeron said something about an expedition, maybe he was suposed to participate. Dwemer ruins, full of Falmer. Idriar didn´t want to go to such a place again, but it was a change to get his armor back.

"So Aeron. My name is Idriar Die-Faust. You can be lucky you survived it." He started to laugh, the Breton didn´t.

"Uh, well, sorry for this fausticuff, I just wasn´t sober already. But after a bath I am. Do you really want to pick up my tab? By Shor, how kind! I wouldn´t ever forget that!"

Dals lowers his head slightly as he replies. "I am mere adventurer, but I've served in an Dunmer house, my skills in battle are of nothing out of ordinarily, but a cunning man with knowledge is always an asset." He smiles as the group around them begins to spread out.

Nehemia stares at the massive door in front of him. More of an gate, the double door, massive structure is of Dwemer origin, the door is decorated with great caution, and the beautiful inscriptions reflect the torches light in a way that the shadows appear to be dancing on its metal surface. Nehemia sighs and sits down upon an destroyed Dwemer sentry. "It appears to be an door of riddles. It has no keyhole, there aren't any levers to open it, nor does it move upon push. Troubling." Suddenly he hears an screech from the direction they had come from. "They are lurking in the shadows, we are being followed. Not by an single creature, but of many." Nehemia looks at the Nightstalker next to him. "The falmer are afraid, not of us. No, I am to believe there's something more terrifying lurking about." He grins and turns his gaze to a Belgosh. "Have you unlocked the secrets of that gate yet?"

(( Nightstalker & Belgosh are ranks within the vampire clan calling themselves the Foundation, Nightstalkers are lower-case officers, and Belgosh are standard mages))

Aeron laughed and tossed the coinpurse at the barman. "Keep the change." he called, much to the barman's pleasure. Besides, if this trip was as profitable as it seemed, he would be able to triple the money. But that wasn't the reason he was going on this expedition. No, it was the adventure, the beating of the heart, not knowing what was coming round the corner.

The money helped of course...

Iogairn glanced around at those two making friends. It was always good to be on good terms with people. Unless they were Altmer. In that case they can go to Oblivion.
However this Dunmer interested him. He wondered what his actual story was. He wasn't lying; not exactly. But he was holding something back. Iogairn had learned when people weren't telling the truth. It was a talent. Obviously none of them were as good as Iogairn himself. Nobody could be that good. Though whether that was a good thing...
Anyway, chances are the Dunmer had a perfectly good reason to avoid the truth. But if he didn't it could endanger the expedition. He'd just have to wait and see.

Ulfgar enters the room and says "Ahoy, lads,is this where the expedition is happening?" He got a chair and sat down, looking at the others.
