"I'm still a little perplexed by the blueness of the sky."

Wolf turns his gaze on the innocent look on his little brothers face. The sun is shining bright on the cloudless sky. Being two heads short from his brother, Wolf places his hand on his brothers back and pats it few times.

The mountains edge they are standing on is precipitous, from their position they can see the valley rich in life below them. The woods appear to be calm and welcoming, on nearby clearing the two can see Fauna enjoying the weather without worry of predators. The warm wind tickles their skin and the mood is cheerful. "Race you down?" Wolf spoke as he began running down the hidden path not many knew. His little brother barely managed to realize the situation as he started chasing his brother downhill. Rabbit's crawled from their rabbit hole, extending their joints in the warmth of the springs first sun. With haste they leaped from the path as the brothers ran past. As they came to a turning on the path that turned almost ninety degrees immediately, Bear grabbed his brother, but lost his footing. Both of them began rolling downhill screaming. They landed into a pond at the end of the cliff. After a while both of them emerged to the surface from a shallow pond laughing.

Once they get out of the pond, they both fall on their backs on the green grass, which feels soft against their necks. Wolf places his hand on his forehead to block the direct rays of sunlight. "Yeah, the vividness of the blue sky is throwing me a little as well." They both sigh deep, enjoying the moments of peace they've had the pleasure to have as their company. Bear lifts himself to a seating position.
"Yesterday was close, eh bro." Wolf craps a hay of grass and holds to it with his teeth. "Don't you worry about it." Bear shakes his head. "You better always be in my vision, so I can breathe" Bear replied. Wolf sighs deep and lifts himself up as well. "I don't plan on leaving you." Bear placed his hand in a fist and slowly pushed Wolfs head with it. "You know, we only move forward because there's no going back." Wolf chuckles, as he unlocks his belts buckle to unstrap the rather large coin purse. "Well, I don't mind walking forward with this much Septims." Bear grabs the coin purse from his brothers hands and opens it. "Oi'. This keeps us accompanied for more than while." Wolfs face turns into a wicked grin. "So what it will be, mer or men?" Bear rolls his eyes as he drops the coin pouch on the ground and raises up. He pushes his shoulders backwards, as if they were a bit disjointed. "You'd think we could spend this to something else than women this time?"

Wolf looks at his worn leather gloves and the backpack that had seen better days in front of them. "I guess, Septims aren't the only way to.." Bear ignores rest of Wolf's sentence as he grabs the backpack and places one of the straps on his right shoulder. "Yeah, Wolf. Like the time you decided it would be a good idea to propose to a whole group of priestesses in their Temple simultaneously?" Wolf gives Bear a perplexed look and replies "You know what they say about worshipers of Mara.."

The two made their way towards the beginning of the hidden path. The flowers have become to bloom underneath the small areas where sun pierces the leaves of the trees. The color of the flowers reflect joy in their eyes. They arrive to a road, and from the road they can see their destination ahead. "Home eh. I wonder how mother's doing?" Said Bear with melancholic tone in his voice. Wolfs eyes shift on the Bears saddened face. "Don't you worry 'about her bro. I'm sure Caretaker's collecting the first flowers of spring to her resting, as he does every spring." Bears eyes begin to blink. "Do you think we can swim.... Against the stream of burdens forever?" Wolf waits for Bear to gather himself a little before replying. "Forever? No brother, but as long as there is air in our chest, yeah... We can."

"Swimming against the waves of the world." Wolf placed his hands in his jackets pockets. "Shall we pay her a visit, then?" Bear nods twice whilst wiping the small shed tears from his cheeks.

They had sat on a hill, where underneath a large tree their mothers grave lies. The sun had begun to set, turning the color of the wreath of flowers into a less vivid combination. Both of them had been a silent for more than a while. Wolf scratches his head. "Brother, you know. We are powerless against whatever the fate has stored for us. It's not yours to blame." Bear smacks his large fist into the soft soil. Wolf continues; "Just don't sleep on the balcony again, just to be closer to her." Neither of them spoke before sleep.

Very nice Nehemia, you're very descriptive, so it's easy for the reader to paint a vivid image :D

The only thing I'd point out, is to always try and stay consistant with past/present tense - try not to mix them throughout a story :)

The petty me does it automatically when I write in English, even though I keep attempting to get rid of that thing -.-

I like how the story begins on a more innocent high note and then ends in a more sorrowful tone. It's that transition that makes the writing stronger. Finding the good and enjoyable parts of life in the face of an uncertain future is quite melancholy in nature-- so it's good to have a family member or friend for support!
