About The Marukhati Collected (Whirling Scrolls online)
Main
This guild started its life on the Bethesda forums when the MMO was announced.
We filled quite a few threads there with game plans, lore speculation and quoting Vivec at people.
With the birth of these forums it is now time for us to also gather here.

We are the Marukhati Selected/ Selectives, a collection of old and new TES fans who have a love for the lore of the series.
Based in the Ebonheart Pact it is our ultimate goal to (symbolically) place MK on the Ruby Throne.*

To this end we will defeat the other main factions and work to ensure our guild ends up on top in ours.

Of course, we also strive to provide a nice place in the game for people to call home.
So you dont have to be a lore-afficionado to be in this guild, but it helps.

Our battlecry is a true name of the world: Tam! RUGH! and our oath is self-written, as we are self-selected.

If this sounds interesting to you, please do not hesitate to contact us about joining.

* MK is Michael Kirkbride, the man responsible for most of the Elder Scrolls lore. As the spiritual father of among other things unforgettable characters like Vivec and writer of that all-important lore book the Monomyth, we feel he deserves to be the Emperor of all Tamriel, perhaps symbolically, depending on what the game structure allows.

For the glory of the Ruby Throne!

Tam! RUGH!

Well, there's something that I dont think most of us have stated. What type of character will you play.

EDIT:
I plan on playing as Dunmer Sorcerer/Mage, who is a devout disiple of the great Seht (Sotha Sil). Though I might not be able to interact with such a great being, I plan serving him in any way.

I will be a Dunmer mage.
But I plan on wearing priest robes if available and standing in town centres preaching Vivec at people a lot.

Nord, follower of all three Battle-Wives. Healer or whatever is closest. Help the needy, tell your stories, carry a sharp weapon anyway just in case. May your half-truths always be at least vaguely interesting.

'Sup guys, it's TT. Still don't know who my main will be. I'm sure I'll find out when more setting information is revealed to be able to weave his or her backstory into the arching narrative.

However, preliminary analyses suggest a Nord warrior-skald who will, between sword-strokes at trolls and Daedra and "those damn High Elves" be glad to regale listeners with tales from the Aldudugga and perhaps even some of the lore and legends from the allied nations of the pact.

If, cross-faction guild is allowed allowed within the game however, I will be altmer mage.

Can't wait for this game to come out. Been brushing up on my Small Unit Tactics for the PvP. I think Mages = Calvary if we are to set up for massive PvP battles. I have plenty of tactical ideas that I'd prefer to not discuss on this public forum however. Anyway, in order to best put Brother Mikhael Karkuxor (Varieties of Faith Reference) on his rightful throne, we will need to strongly discuss tactics, especially with the hardcore gamer guilds who don't give a shit about the Lore but HAVE made the level cap.

Also, I'm to be a Buoyant Armiger.

Angry old Ashlander priest who hates the tribunal for stealing the followers of the old gods, which is to say the daedra, specifically Azura, Boethia, and the Black Hands Mephala.

Classwise I intend to play a healing-centric class, specializing within the class to be as aggressive as possible, to reflect his nature as a pissed off old man.

How curious, I intend to stand in town centres berating people for abandoning the old gods and ranting about the tribunal. We may have to become bitter enemies and eventually allow our grudge to develop into the root of the schism that tears this guild apart. A man can dream, right?

Really though, judging from most of the marukhati threads on the other forum, this guild will likely become recognized as "those guys who preach on street corners"

I do not think we will become bitter enemies as Vivec wrote:
"Six are the walking ways, from enigma to enemy to teacher.

Boethiah and Azura are the principles of the universal plot, which is begetting, which is creation, and Mephala makes of it an art form.

For by the sword I mean the first night.

For by the word I mean the dead.

But I will stand aside you and testify for the colour of your banner as the honour of my ancestors demands.

This may end up being a one-sided rivalry; that riddle-shitting half gold fop will get no respect from the likes of angry old Sul-Sharnabittipath!

Yeah he's going to be a rough fellow.

That would be a dream come true.

We should have sentries posted at the places where new player come into the world, we'll hand out pamphlets and copies of the Sermons. Laughing

Just imagine us in a PvP situation, the enemy would just run away so they would have to listen to brutal wave of fiery truth raining down onto them

Lol, maybe they'll zero-summed after listening us.

But seriously, I'd rather not speak in riddles and MK speak, it would just make others being irritated at us, not exactly the best way to be introduced to obscure lore.

Like that guy Sordak, we've already gathering animosities.

I would never try to spread confusion by forcing truth down the gullets of the unknowing fools.

I want to be a straight forward scholar, dedicated to blowing away the fog of ignorance that clouds the minds of those that know nothing of the Lore of The Elder Scrolls.

(I just want people to know about TES lore, and not apply other fantastical rules and ideas to it)

Guys be as roleplayish as you want to be, imo. It makes the world of TES come alive ---> which enhances the play experience.
