"Well, seems like most of you got acquainted and... well buggered off." Iogairn looked around. Well at least he was still alive. "Still up for a game?"

The sky was darkening as Amentius Mero made his way along the Cyrodil road. He was dressed in simple traveler garments with a distinct imperial short sword at his side. The surrounding forest was thick with untamed trees and rampant wilderness which was surprisingly enough, eerily quiet. None of this concerned the Imperial though, as he blissfully had other thoughts on his mind. Anxious thoughts upon where he was going and what his future might bring.

He had just completed ten years of service within the Legion, and was now free to do as he wished. His release had come just in time as dark influences had descended upon the Imperial City. It was a miracle that he was able to avoid it all and return to a normal life. A life, he was hoping, with the woman he loved.

Ten years prior he had made a bold promise to Clara Faleria; a promise that after he was finished with legion that he would return to marry her. It was idealistic, foolhardy, and tacky; but by the Eight he was going to keep that promise!

And by Oblivion itself he was terrified! Within the legion he had stood against merciless raiders, towering ogres, and savage frost trolls. They were all forces that could slay a man with ease in a brutally painful fashion. Yet none of them scared him more than returning to Clara Faleria.

What if she did not wait for him and married? The thought worried him, despite her positively ecstatic response to his promise those many years ago. He knew of old veteran legionaries who were lethargic drunkards at the local tavern, victims of loves who had moved on without them. Amentius could only hope he would not soon be among them.

The farmstead where she lived was not too far away, just up the road from a placed called the Restless Feet Inn. He wasn’t too far away now, but having traveled a long journey from the Imperial City and with his nerve on edge—a drink from his once-favorite inn didn’t sound too bad!

Amentius opened the door to the Restless Feet Inn, the wood creaking sharply as it opened. The sight of the other inn’s patrons made him pause momentarily; a mixture of races from all over Tamriel. Never had he seen such a crowd before in this part of Cyrodil. He grinned with amusement as he took a seat at the counter.

He made eye contact with the familiar barkeep and owner of the inn, waving his hand in a casual manner. The owner, who appeared to have been having a terrible time, did not respond at first and simply continued to clean a mug. A split second later, the barkeep did a double take towards the Imperial, recognizing a once loyal regular and family friend who long ago left to join the Legion.
A minute later, a bottle of expensive Cyrodiilic Brandy was placed on the counter in front of Amentius.

“Hah! So you remembered me! You have my thanks.” Amentius corked open the tall bottle and poured the fine drink into a cup. A last drink before his greatest battle in life!

Seemingly to be paying attention to the discussion, as she's heard letting out a chuckle. Her ice blue eyes locked upon the two men, the Nord and the Dunmer.

Beor had observed his surroundings for a while when talking with Balgir and Freyja, keeping to themselves. He stood up to get another ale for him and his two friends. As he stretched and walked to the counter he noticed a man at seated at the bar. He walked over and stood next to him as he shouted his order over the noise of the tavern towards the barkeep.

Beor looked over at the Imperial: "Say, where have your travels taken you?"

Balgir grinned as Beor walked over to the bar. Looking back at Frejya with a wide grin as he leaned back against the back of his chair. Still keeping one ear on his surrounding in order to be ready if his young Bormah got himself in trouble with the rowdy crowd at the bar.

''Where's your dogs?'' He mused and emptied his mug of ale with one last gulp. He was actually bit surprised to see her without those two wretched pets at her side growling at him.

Turning her attention back on Balgir with a wide grin. "... You know what happens when you turn your back to some deep-in-love couple?" she asks with a mischief grin. "Well, apparently they did something in a bush when I'd my back turned." she says with a light shrug.

At first he stared at her confused, then he burst out into laughter and slammed his palm against the wooden table. He sat there, looking at her and laughing for some time before he could finally contain himself and took a deep breath.

'' By Shor! Careful so they don't run off together now!'' He replied after finally gathering himself, still with a grin on his face.

Iogairn sees the Argonian, still drinking in the corner. He walks over.
"Are you all right." he asked, seeming concerned. "It got a bit hairy over there. I notice you didn't want to play. Why?"

Iogairn smiled. He understood. He quickly took the coinpurse off before the Argonian could wake up and walked over to the bar. He payed for a drink and looked around for conversation.
(So who's still left, I've lost count)

Amentius took sip of his cyrodiilic brandy, and took the time to savour the taste. It had been a long time since he had drank anything of such fine quality. Within the legion all of the soldiers drank whatever could give them a good time, whether it was nord mead or fermented goat urine. For Amentius, the brandy could not have come at a better time!

He smiled as he finished another sip. Here he was back in his old spot at the Restless Feet Inn, drinking the finest brandy, about to begin another chapter in his life. It was a marvel on how he was able to survive ten years of service to the Legion; crawling through mud, freezing on distant mountains, and often standing knee high in blood.

Feeling in a good mood, he glanced towards the other patrons of the inn. It seemed besides the staff, he was the only Imperial present! Not too far away a pair of Nords appeared to be having a joyous conversation. In another direction, an argonian appeared ready to pass out. A game of cards was being played as well, but Amentius shook his head to himself. He was feeling great right now, but his fortune never worked well with gambling!

Grinning wide at Balgir. "They've ran off, I let them." she says with a short wink. "Fir, I won't see for sometime but I expect Grimm to show up time-to-time, most likely to check up on me though." she says with a slight roll with her eyes.

iogairn yawned. "Right, well that was entertaining." He then realised noone was listening to him. He shrugged and headed off to bed, only stopping to flick a coin at the innkeep.

"Oi! Imperial, I'm talking to you!" Beor repeated towards the man who was finishing off his brandy, lost in thought.

"By Shor, starting a fight Beor?" she asks with a light chuckle, holding her arms crossed at her chest - gently tapping her fingers on the table as she does.
