I just want to say thanks to everyone on the forums for their feedback, encouragement, and support of my storytelling. This has been an amazing week full of wonderful opportunities to showcase my work. I've been approached with some interesting publication offers and ideas, but none of it would be happening without this roleplay forum. Thank you again.

I like how the story is structured with different people from all over Tamriel with distinct backgrounds coming together to find one mysterious item (or something else) known as the Running Tree. It's intriguing to think some force is somehow rallying these seeminguly unrelated people for a single purpose.

One thing you might want to look into is the relationship between Vvardenfell and foreigners-- though I'm afraid such research may throw a nasty wrench into some of your story's details. I keeping hearing how Vvardenfell is off limits to outlanders during the Second Era, so I'm uncertain if the Vivec Foreign Quarter might exist and if the nord woman would be able to be present. You may want to further investigate this if such a limitation is true.

But I'm interested to see who else becomes part of this grand plotline, and seeing what this venture for the Running Tree may have in store for them!

Character Profiles:
Endaros Ilmori - Buoyant Armiger
Sunrio - Aldmeri Justiciar

Taren Jucanis - Imperial Deserter (Used for The Black Shroud RP)

Hey, I'm glad you're enjoying the setup to the story thus far. I've been tireless in my research, but I'm less concerned about "details" in which I have no real evidence. And sometimes I may overlook such evidence anyway. As I have not played ESO at all, it's a bit like writing a story based in the city of Atlantis. I know it's underwater, but who has been there to contradict whether or not they have a city street called Splash Mountain Lane? It's a common practice among authors when writing about a specific place to fudge over some details for the sake of the story, and for the most part, I am forced to do the same here.

That said, I fully realize that I will have to edit and in some cases re-write this particular story after I begin playing the game and realize that what I've written wouldn't be possible. In the interim, I welcome anyone's feedback about a particular fact. Please feel free to post or message me about such inaccuracies.

On a side note, Vivec City was always one of my favorites, but it could have been any city in Morrowind as far as Ratracer is concerned. Whatever I want to call the different Cantons, his story will not be affected. I realize such contradictions in Elder Scrolls lore is absolute heresy to some, but this is fiction, not historical fiction. Please know I'm doing my best, though.

Edit: I don't want anyone to think that I care nothing for the lore of the series. As I detailed in a post last month , I'm old enough to have played each Elder Scrolls title at the time of their respective release. That doesn't make me an expert, but I do have a special love for this universe.

I said that this story is fiction, not historical fiction. That is true, but unless I'm dealing in multiple universes, I wouldn't dare write a story set in the twin towers of New York in 2008. Or perhaps a better analogy would be writing a story set in New York in 1780 that revolved around the Statue of Liberty. Know that I wouldn't want to do the same in this story, so thanks in advance for bringing these sorts of details to my attention.

Edit #2: I've eliminated mention of the 'Foreign Quarter' as I agree that it seems unlikely, though not impossible, that the Canton would have existed in the years before Molag Bal's invasion of Cyrodiil. However unlikely it may be for Niskan to discover Nords and Argonians in Vivec City in his present, I've read nothing to make me believe it's impossible, so I will leave it in. It will not affect the story going forward in any way. Should I discover this is as absolutely wrong as seeing the Statue of Liberty in 1780, then I will make the simple edits.
