In the years before his birth, Theodyne Robillard's family was of noble descent in the lands of High Rock. His father and grandfather before him both being honorable and revered Knights of Daggerfall. But before his birthing, during the Battle of Durcorach, both his father and grandfather were branded as traitors by King Emeric for failing to obey an order and strike down surrendered enemy soldiers. It was for this that they and their families were forced to flee the lands of High Rock.

After leaving the lands of High Rock, Theodyne's family sought shelter and refuge in the harsh desert lands of Hammerfell, living quiet, reclused lives. And on the night he was born, Theodyne's father knew his son was born to be a warrior and would be bound for greatness, for on the night he was birthed, a blood moon shown brightly in the night skies without a star in sight.

Against his mother's wishes, his father and grandfather began training him at an early age, and not only did his training take quickly, but what's more, he seemed to enjoy it, almost as if it were a game to him. His grandfather trained him with bow and arrow, and by the age of eleven, he could strike down a bird from the skies with a single notched arrow. By age seventeen, it seemed as if his father started to learn from him in the swinging of a sword, being able to best both his father and grandfather at the same time in a sparring match.

One fateful day after returning home from the city of Dragonstar, he noticed his grandfather lying in the sand face down. He dropped from his horse and ran as fast as he could to see what was wrong. But as he approached he noticed the blood drenched sands by his grandfather's waist. He immediately drew his sword and entered his home only to find his father and mother had been murdered like his grandfather. His father's head nearly severed, and his mother disemboweled, for the first time since he was but a baby, he wept, all the while holding the hands of his departed parents. He carefully wrapped the dead remains of his family in clean cloth and buried them one by one still weeping. After he the burial and his last good byes, he swore by The Eight Divines and The Eleven Ancestors that he would avenge his family's death. Having nothing left but his father's sword, his grandfather's bow, and his mother's memory, he packed his horse and made for the town of Skaven, home to a gladiatorial team known only as The Guards.

Upon arriving in Skaven, he made out for the first tavern he could find, simply called The Guard's Keep. It was in this tavern that The Guards would drink to the memory of each fallen foe and friend alike after a match. Now being new in any town can raise a eyebrow or two, but being unknown in a town of gladiators can sometimes raise a sword instead. Sitting alone in the corner, drinking his ale, a group of gladiators noticed Theodyne sitting by quietly by himself and decided they needed to know who he was. The three men approached him and Theodyne did not so much as blink an eye when their leader asked, "And who just might you be, princess?" attempting to gain a rise out of Theodyne and possibly a fight. But when Theodyne brought his eyes from his cup to see this man, all he could see was the necklace that his father had given his mother so many years ago on their wedding night. Blinded by pure rage, Theodyne to this day has no memory of the events that took place in the seconds after his saw his mother's necklace. All he remembers is standing over the three men's dead bodies with their swords still sheathed, blood soaked sword in one hand, his mother's necklace in the other.

Having avenged his family's death. Theodyne roamed from town to town, city to city, drinking away the pain and memory of his family's horrible demise. Until one day, when he came across a flyer nailed to a wall that read:

"Our supplies dwindle. Our trade routes shut down. Our people suffer. Why? Because a pretender sits upon The Ruby Throne. Let us take up arms! Let the fields of Cyrodiil run red with the blood of our fallen enemies! But let us spare the lives of a few, so that they may return to their homelands to tell their fellows the fate they met at the hands of The Daggerfall Covenant!
One Land! One Emperor!
Who among you will stand with me?"

―High King Emeric's Call to Arms

It was on this moment that Theodyne saw an opportunity, not for himself, but for the memory of his father and grandfather. An opportunity to gain back the honor and nobility that his family name so rightfully deserved. So he answered the call. Pledging his sword, his bow, his allegiance, and his life to King Emeric and The Daggerfall Covenant. And the rest of this tale my lords and ladies, has yet, to unfold..............

Pretty cool! Might read some more when I have the time!

You made one small mistake, though. The Nine Divines did not exist back then. Well, the Ninth didn't: Talos. The mortal Talos was not even born back then. So, back then it was still ''The Eight Divines''.

Other than that: nice prologue!
