Triskele Grár

Name: Triskele Grár, commonly known as simply "Tris".

Origin: The south-western reaches of Skyrim (forests of Falkreath)

Birth-sign: The Shadow (Triskele was born 2E 557, Second Seed)

Occupation: Huntress, mercenary

Relatives: Her father Thornn Grár, her mother Ysold Grár, and her three elder brothers Triwold, Ysengrim and Thorald Grár.


Brief description of appearance: Triskele stands just a bit shorter than average, something she tends to loathe, as useful as it it whilst hunting the woods or scaling a mountain. Her pale skin and iceblue eyes couldn't form a bigger contrast with her sooty, black mane of hair that frames her high cheekbones and stubborn jaw. Her hair would be lush and thick should she care for it, which she does not; it tends to fall alongside her face in unevenly cut locks and messy braids - the only mirror Tris ever sees is the edge of a dagger, if at all.

She tends to clad her lithe figure in clothing and armour she has hunted for herself - boiled leathers, supple belts and boots, and fingerless gloves.

Like most Nords, she's rather fond of facepaint - she's never seen without woad markings on her face and arms.

Weaponry: One can never say Tris doesn't come prepared. There's always a sword on her hip, though she often loses it and then replaces it with the next best piece of steel she can get her hands on. There are always two daggers dangling from her belt as well, but her most appreciated and prized weapon would be the bow she carries with her, along with a quiver of arrows she fletched herself.

Religious Point of View: Although she's as respectful as is needed of the divine, Triskele first and foremost seems to believe in her own strengths, rather than fall on her knees and pray.

Political Point of View: It has to be said - she's slightly xenophobic, and distrusts other races quickly, as quickly as she stands ready to judge them with her ever-relentless opinions. She seems to hold some form of respect for Dunmer, for her own reasons.


Loves: Her freedom, the tundra, her horse (a dappled grey mare by the name of Creidne), venison, her parents and brothers.

Hates: Dry sand, heat, prying strangers, and occasionally her brothers too.

Strengths: A stubborn mule has its uses - Triskele is insanely strong-headed and this ensures she will achieve her set goals nine out of ten times. Also, a promise she made you is seldom broken, if not never.

Physically, her slender appearance would fool you - she's quite sturdy and is very good at covering great distances in a short span of time.

Her eagle's eye and accurate aim are what make her a very fine archer and scout. She can spot traps where others would be entirely oblivious.

Weaknesses: Tris is good at burning bridges through her own foolish pride - just swallowing back anger and counting to ten is not something she is good at. Her pride is what makes her deaf to good, well-meant advice as well from time to time.

Patience is a virtue, they say. She lacks it.

The thing she is the very worst at in the world would probably be friendly chit-chat with random people.

Background: Born the youngest and the only girl in a family of roaring males, Triskele grew up feeling like she had to earn respect where her brothers simply received it quicker. Her father, a former soldier who chose to spend his greying days with his wife in a rivershack and a working watermill, grateful for wounds that have never proven mortal, ever tried to make Tris feel like she was as good as any of her elder brothers. On clear days when Thornn Grár took his children into the woods to hunt, his daughter was never left behind.

Nowadays, the Grár-children hunt and roam together as a result, although it seems to be Triskele who wanders further than the rest, more in need of solitude and often annoyed by the behaviour of her elder siblings. It's unclear when and where Triskele started to become fascinated by the ancient Nordic barrows that dapple Skyrim's map, but it is obvious that whenever it started, it now shapes her life.

I'm really liking this, and your physical descriptions of your character better illustrate her than even the portrait does. :) I wonder why Triskele seems to like, or at least respect, the Dunmer.

Thanks for reading, and your kind words :) I already told this to a couple of other folks who approached me concerning guilds - I have just stepped down from leading an active roleplay-guild for the past year and a half, and my interest in TESO is a way for me to unwind and orientate, and see where I will take my character. So it's still a bit too soon for me to jump straight into another guild :) However, I'm keeping an eye on the guild-section on these forums, and when the day comes I'll definitely make my pick :)
