Ra'Makh Qa'Dram collapsed into bed. He had just finished anothet exhausting day in the marshes of Hjaalmarch. He still hadn't completed his almanac, and it seemed he never would. Ra'Makh's eyes grew heavy. He could hear a bard singing a lively tune about dragons. Ra'Makh slowly drifted off to sleep, dreaming of dragons and nords doing battle. His dreams were interrupted by a strange whisper.
"You... Have been chosen...". Ra'Makh saw a woman sitting in a throne. She looked strong and resolute, yet she continurd to whisper.
"Come... Meet me in my realm... The games await..."
Ra'Makh awoke with a jolt. He sat up in his bed. Only, it wasn't his bed. It was a strange bed, with strange markings on it. The markings of Vaermina. Before Ra'Makh was a stairway. The khajiiti scholar began to head up the steps, when he realized he was no longer wearing his regular attire. Ra'Makh was instead wearing strange robes, also adorned with Vaermina's
mark. They were remarkably comfortable. As Ra'Makh climbed the steps, he looked out towards the horizon. Quiet rolling hills reached out as far as the eye could see. It reminded Ra'Makh of Cyrodiil. Ra'Makh again focused his attention on climbing the stairs. At the tip of the stairs was a gargantuan gazebo. At the far end was a great throne. Opposite it were many smaller seats, forming a semicircle around the throne. Sitting in the throne was a giant woman of great beauty.
"Please, take a seat... Your contendors will be with you soon...". A voice whispered in Ra'Makh's ear. The cat took a seat in the chair farthest to the right. The large woman in the throne smiled. She wore the same robe as Ra'Makh. Ra'Makh had decided that he wanted to go along with daedric lord's plan. After all, it was all just a deam, right?

"What the?" Azzanadra said as he looked around in a strange area he was in after he had fallen from the battle against sleep. It was dark, purple, and very hazy because of the mist. Not to mention, there were Daedric markings all around the room he was in.|

"Va...er...mi...na..." Azzanadra sounded it out. This creep him out, how did came into possession of the knowledge to read Daedric script? Very weird indeed was what crossed the Redguard's face. He also noticed that he was not wearing his dark attire but rather some robes that had the same Daedric markings on it.

He heard voices coming from a stairwell next to him. He didn't like going through narrow spaces since something might come out and suddenly scare him with a jump and the occasional scream that accompanied it. Seeing no other way to leave this place, he might as well go through that creepy staircase, his curiosity seemed to go out of place. He slowly went up the steps, step by step, and cautiously. At the end of it, only big purple humps were protruding out of the ground, which Azzanadra thought of as mountains and hills. He also saw what appeared to be a gazebo but the size of a behemoth. He had never seen anything quite like this.

He also saw a throne at the end and a couple of seats forming a circle around it. He walked towards it. He would be in the shadows right now but there are no shadows around, everything is bright, black, and purple. Why did everything look purple? Why can't it be dark or something? Azzanadra was thinking of stupid things right now but he focused at the task at hand.

Omkir Kinai awoke to a falling sensation. He hit the floor hard, but when he rose to his feet, he found himself in a rather peculiar room, wearing rather peculiar robes.

"Omkir does not enjoy meaningless dreams..." He mumbled to himself.

"You... Have been chosen..." Is all he heard before walking into a room of thrones, in which he saw a fellow khajiit, redguard and... woman, although they were too far away for their faces to be recognisable.

A challenge, hmmm. This one's dream may be meaningful after all..."

Aerin smiled as she got into the tavern bed, thinking of how she hadn't switched personalities for at least a few days. The sheets were comfortable and the bed warm. The food sat well in her stomach and content she quickly fell asleep. After an hour she was tossing and turning in the bed, the sheets fell of and she curled into a ball, whispering to herself. She could hear a voice, talking, no, whispering to her and suddenly she was awake. She rose unsteadily, vision blurred with sleep and feeling groggy. She felt her was over to where the doors was, but it wasn't there. Confused she rubbed her eyes and the world became clear. Suspiciously she eyed the symbols and staircase, but due to there being no other way out she quietly descended them. She frowned down at her clothes, had Jart changed them again? She thought they had agreed on the robes but maybe he had gone daedric now... She shook her head and surveyed the land around her. The hills surrounding the staircase were certainly not from Elsweyr, where Jart had decided to take her when she was unconscious for several days. Slowly she stepped into the room, eyebrows furrowed in more confusion as she looked around her and the woman on the throne. As there was no way out she took a seat, hoping all would be explained soon...

((sorry, I was offline for a few days))

Ra'Makh looked around at the strange people around him. A redguard, a bosmer, and another khajiit.
Ra'Makh did not recognize any of them, which puzzled him. He had read somewhere before that every face you see in a dream is a face you have seen before. He wondered if in this strange dream that still held true.

((Fun fact: That fact is true IRL))

Ra'Makh looked up at the colossal woman before him. She looked no older than eighteen, and had very pale skin. Suddenly, her lips began to move. No sound came from her mouth, until Ra'Makh heard a whisper in his ear.

"Wonderful, all my contestants are here. It is time to explain the rules."
The woman held out her hands, and a scroll appeared in them from out of thin air.

"I am Vaermina, prince of dreams..." The woman began. That explains alot Ra'Makh thought. "This is my plane of Oblivion, Quagmire. The goal of this game is to escape. Somewhere in my realm are the four beds you arrived here on. You must fall asleep in your bed to return to Nirn."

Sounds easy enough Ra'Makh thought again.

"However, there is a twist. Whenever the lightning strikes, reality will change. A new terrain will form, conjured from the minds of a contestant. This cycle will repeat over and over again until you escape. If you die, you will be summoned back my throne, which will always be here. Unfortunately, that means you've lost, and are doomed to spend eternity in Quagmire. Choose your equipment wisely."
Vaermina snapped her fingers and a long table appeared, filled with weapons, armor, and any other supplies an adventurer could ask for. In a pile in front of Ra'Makh appeared his armor, sword, and satchel. Finally, Varmina turned here scroll around so the contestants could see. there was no writing on it, only a strange symbol, the mark of Vaermina. It began to fade, ever so slightly. "When the symbol is gone, the game will begin.

Ra'Makh lept out of his seat. He hastily adorned his armor and cloak, and searched his satchel. He found some addax jerkey, moon sugar in a pouch, a few odd alchemical ingredients, a half dozen small vials of a regeneration solution (He found a boost in healing rate more useful than a one time replenish), a worn compass, his almanac (The insects of the Jerral Mountains and western Skyrim), a small bottle of human blood (Surprisingly useful), his journal, a quill, ink, and a strange book with the mark of Vaermina on the front. Ra'Makh opened the book to find a map on the first page. It depicted only three things. The boundaries, the Gazebo, and a compass rose. Ra'Makh supposed it was to keep track of where he traveled, and that every contestant had one. The other pages were blank. Ra'Makh adorned his satchel and made his way to the table before him.

Omkir arose, walking towards the equipment. He chose a set of medium weight armour and a bow and a quiver full of arrows. He also picked up a satchel with a couple healing potions, a rope, one bottle of oil and a capsule of moon sugar. It also contained a book with Vaermina's sign, although he didn't bother opening it. He waited for the others.

Aerin shook her head and tightly closed her eyes, rubbing them before opening. She knew this was not a nightmare. She walked forwards and donned her white and crimson robes, her satchel with three magicka potions, two healing potions and a lot of food. She then took Jart's swords, her dagger, and for once a black bow and quiver of black arrows. After examining the bow, quiver and arrows, she drew her dagger and placed it on the ground, it would not be useful for her now. She took the book and stuffed it in the remaining room in her large satchel before putting the swords on either side of her hips and the bow on her back with the quiver slung beneath the bow. She watched the symbol slowly fade.

Azzanadra picked up the light armor set which looked like the Dark Brotherhood armor set. He then chose the katana that floated in the air as he somewhat liked to keep a blade close to him. He took the satchel and put it on and placed a book of a map of this oblivion plane inside his satchel. He sheathed his sword on the sheath suddenly appearing on the side of his hip. He also found that there are potions inside his satchel. Then he waited for the symbol to fade as he said, "I will not die here..."

Ra'Makh sauntered over to the long table casually. He picked out a bow that looked sturdy yet compact. The khajiiti scholar took two quivers, each holding thirty-six arrows. He slung one over his shoulder, and strapped the other to his belt. Ra'Makh took a quick glance at the scroll. Vaermina held it out, smiling. The symbol was nearly gone. Finally, Ra'Makh grabbed a couple loaves of bread from the table, an extra water-skin, and some kindling that looked like it had come from a very strange tree. The cat walked over to one of the other contestants. A redguard, by the look of him, a few inches taller than Ra'Makh and wearing... the garb of an assassin? This worried Ra'Makh. When he was young, his mother often regaled him with tales of many attempted assassinations of the mane. Though they never reached their target, they always left a few extra bodies somewhere hidden, which the guards would find eventually by smell alone. The thought made Ra'Makh queasy, and he pushed the thought aside. "Hello, redguard. This one's name is Ra'Makh Qa'Dram. What brings you to such a fine location?"

She looked over to the khajiit and realised she had no water. Quickly she took a belt and grabbed two water skins, strapping them onto the belt. She grabbed another quiver and strapped it to her belt, taking inspiration from the cat. She then grabbed a black dagger, sharper then her previous, it would be handy if she needed to sneak up on anything or cut her way through undergrowth. She checked her satchel for food, though full it was mostly ale and sweet rolls from Jart. She shook her head and emptied it, grabbing two loaves of bread, a couple of carrots and cold stew stored in a bottle of ale. She checked the map, tutting in frustration at what it revealed, practically nothing. She looked around, checking she was prepared, yes, she was. She took out the bow and readied an arrow from a spare quiver. She got into position, though she was unused to the weapon she knew her race was supposed to be good, and it came more naturally then the dagger had. She let the bow string slacken and she put the arrow in one of her quivers before putting the bow on her back.

He heard Ra'Makh talking to him as he said, "Hello Ra'Makh. I'm sorry, I can't tell you my name since I cannot remember it. And you tell me. Why are we here? For Vaermina's sick amusement?"

Her attention was caught by the Redguard. "Surely if you can't remember your name you should make yourself a new one?" She looked, confused, at him whilst continuing to survey the table. The symbol was rapidly fading and she began to doubt if her choice of robes was a good one. Suddenly she grabbed the black light armour, it looked very similar to the nightingale armour (from skyrim). She donned the helmet/hood and armour, it completely covered her complete face, and she pulled the cloak tighter around her, suddenly cold. She turned back to the Redguard.

"The wood-elf has a point. For now, though, this one will simply call you 'Redguard'." Ra'Makh turned to face the bosmer woman. She was somewhat shorter than Ra'Makh with ginger hair and very dark brown eyes. "And what might you be called, elf of Valenwood?" Ra'Makh had always been fond of bosmer. He had spent a lot of time in Valenwood, particularly Elden Root. The scroll had nearly disappeared, Ra'Makh judged they had roughly ten more minutes before the game began. Ra'Makh felt uneasy, how long would he be here?

The sign had almost faded completely as Omkir gathered things in a panic. Picking up a few waterskins and an extra quiver. Omkir growled in a controlled anger; his self-forged scimitars hadn't appeared. He'd have to hope the bow and years of martial training would be enough...
