So, I know werewolf has a poison weakness, and vamps have a fire weakness, has this made either one, or both of them unplayable in PvP.

Gone to a better MMO, soz guys, it was fun.

No.

I'm in the process of putting together an Elusive Mist vanguard for the house I'm a part of.

Why?

Vampires adorning the heaviest armor, the most unwavering confidence, conviction and unmatched prowess of fighting with the sword and shield are a destructive force that demands attention on the battlefields of Cyrodiil.

For example, I'll charge into a group of ten, maybe more. Then I'll do my thing:
  1. Shielded assault
  2. Burning Talons
  3. Shield bash to the frontal lobe four times
  4. Burning Talons
  5. Shield bash to the cranium four times
  6. Elusive Mist
  7. Elusive Mist
  8. Elusive Mist
  9. Act as a distraction whilst huge Aldmeri Dominion comes over the ridge to assist me
  10. /Kneelpray as they scream about how weak vampires and werewolves are and how PvP requires zero skill as well the generic "Cyrodiil zerg-a-reeno onry" comments

Sometimes, I'll have no stamina, then I'll use Invigorating Drain and be back up to at least 80% stamina and 75% health. If I have Dragons Blood active, then It's usually 85% health.

Being a vampire or a werewolf changes how you can most effectively play your class in Cyrodiil, if you don't adapt and learn the new dynamics, people may accidentally capitalize on your direct statistical weaknesses.

Everything is usually always happening extremely fast in Cyrodiil anyway, so It usually comes down to who's brain is working faster. As I'm sure you're aware of already, but yeah.

Me personally, I'll absolutely never not be a vampire in this game. Having way to much fun. Creepy

Not at all, you will find both have a weakness to fighters guild skills.
But the beautiful thing about having limited skills that we can use at any given time, is that if your opponent doesn't use fire, or poison. then they might have a hard time dealing with you.

The other alternative is that you can boost your resistance to what your weakness is.
I think you will find that charging in as a werewolf you might find yourself greeted by somebody prepared with a skill that can cause you some discomfort. But if you use from strategy and catch them unaware, you win.

So in short, I believe they are equally as viable as anything else in the game.

As Avidus said. However, a skilled Fighters Guild player is something you need to avoid like the plague.

The amount of damage I do on the enemy players that are Vamps & Werewolves is to the point of madness, while they are almost always on the floor knocked down. And there is the occasional lucky banish also, to their dismay.

However that works well when you have good situational awareness, carry a shield to block and have purge.

Not sure how many players know how to break CC.
But double mouse click out of the CC = 12second immunity.
Then lay down the law with mythical power!
A werewolf, should be in pack, if not probably would want to be careful.
But a vampire has plenty of escapes and heals.

So if you come across an equally skilled opponent they always have options!

If you build vampire / werewolf, you better softcap resistances and have grand glyphs of proper resistance enchanted.

Fighter's guild skill line users are a real bitch if you don't run immovable. So my personal suggestion is that if you aren't planning your whole build around vamp / ww, don't pick it up. Too many people have failed to realize their weaknesses and go there for sheer excitement, resulting being cannon fodder on PvP and reverting the transformation within a week.

I just got bit (Vampire) last night, and I'm reworking parts of my build to work around the Vamp skill line. I'll let you know how well I fare once I'm done. Nehemia is right though, make sure to stack your resistances.

I think your biggest enemy would definitely be people that have taken advantage of the Fighter's guild perks. I for one am a Dunmer Dragonknight built for pyromancy so I may be able to do a little extra damage to a vamp, but they are still a force to be reckoned with.
