Is anyone else sick of the same ol' goody-two-shoes, going around, saving maidens and recovering powerful artifacts for the Divines etc?

Well, this is the RP for you! I have no idea what the plot will be yet, I'll come to it as we go along, but this RP will be for you evil characters out there. Hell, they don't even have to be evil, just slightly delusional/ sadistic/ bonkers...

Plot:

Due to the war, many castles have been left vacant of armed guards, as they are all needed to fight in Cyrodiil. Now, this is very convenient occurrence for Arcthan, who had just been wishing that he had a castle and a headquarters to begin his plans again. However, despite his vanity and powers, he cannot do this alone. So, over the last several months he had been tracking down rumours of other criminals and villains, the murderers and the mad. And so he gave each of them a letter, specifying a cave in High Rock, near the castle of Cavalan in the north most point of High Rock.

This will start with taking a castle, but it will carry on from there. Hopefully, there will be a power play when (if) we occupy the castle, and different factions will form, due to the way the lands are ruled.
Then Lord Cavalan will return. And he won't be too chuffed about hearing that some people of a psychopathic temperament staying in his castle. So he'll wheel his army round and march home. And try and take back the castle. Whether he takes it or not, is undecided...

So, what do you say?

I'm thinking that 6 characters would be a fair amount. I may open it again after the first stage, but I generally prefer small RPs. Gets it nice and personal...

Characters:

Iogairn: Arcthan

Roflwaffleauthoritah: Xhuvara

Ragnar-Ice Blood: Nadene

Isilmo: Mordric

Nikura: Neytsana

MaxxRocker: Cyric

Nyoma: Bosmer sneak (primarily uses a bow, but for melee uses daggers)

Faera: Altmer mage (uses primarily destruction, illusion and conjuration magic)

This sounds like a pretty cool idea Iogairn, I think I'll use Lorundil for this because he fits the description of "evil" pretty well.

I have a character in mind and wouldn't mind trying this out....our one problem is going to be is how evil are we talking cause if we get cartoon villian evil where they don't work with anyone and have little to no personality I will stay away....if we are talking more like sociopath with little moral guidance seeking thrills and justification through violence then I can get on board with that....I mainly say that cause I worry that with evil characters the whole group would just kill one another.

That, Maxx, is a very good point. I've been trying to work away around this. Honestly, the idea came to me because I thought there were too many RPs which involved doing good and I though there wasn't really a RP for my character Arcthan. I want to try him, as opposed to my usual 'evil guy' M'rah.

I want to come up with a decent plotline which focuses something on a little less generic than just grabbing some cash by killing peasants. The main problem is there really isn't an evil common agenda, the few which are principally antagonist are really restrictive (Thalmor, Mythic Dawn, Sixth House).
So, maybe taking control of a castle and enslaving the populace or something? It could be quite a good power play between characters, or even a good 'keep and hold' RP, when our characters are shut in together.
What do you guys think?

I think the castle thing is a good idea, however is this like necromancer evil, vampire evil, bandit evil or what? my char Lorundil is a necromancer and associates with Daedra frequently so I think he'd be considered evil by those accounts but by enslave do you mean with magic or literally making them slaves like what the Dunmer do?

Occupy would be a better term. You know, making them work and give us all the coin. Enslave though, is a good term.

The type of evil doesn't really matter. I think I'll have it with Arcthan trying to recruit people from the seedier parts, so that will include bandits, necromancers and vampires

I don`t have any pure evil guys (with bios) but depending on the timeline two of my guys could work.

I'd fain be involved in these proceedings, and will await further details to sign up.

If I do so, it'd be using Absit Invidia, a manipulative mage whose main directive is to attain power. He's not pure evil, but he'd do well enough.

I'll join, I'll just have to make a new character (which I like to do).

I think that I'll use my only Human character I ever made...
Mordric von Slaza, a sociopathically, psychotic Witch-Hunter who has no morals whatsoever. Enjoys torturing people, killing vampires and burning witches. A Breton, used to be part of the Vigil of Stendarr but was expelled for burning down a village. After that he formed his own little cult, The Mortem Haeretic. A group of fanatical apprentices to Mordric.
He will accuse anyone of Heresy, Witchcraft, Daedra Worship and necromancy even if they have no magical skill whatsoever and have never done any of the above. No one is sure whether he is even aware that he is killing and torturing innocents and sparing real Witches, Daedra Worshipers and necromancers and is completely insane or has developed it into a sadistic art form which he has fallen in love with.
As for appearance, he tends to wear bright, blood red, hooded robes and multiple holy amulets constantly jingling as he waves his arms shouting madly and accusing innocent people, spittle collecting on his chin as he starts foaming slightly from the mouth. Thin white goatee and well... basically imagine the Spanish Inquisition.
Formally he wears a white clergy robe with a black cape and a wide-brimmed black hat.
To get to the point he is a religious fanatic with a liking to cause pain to innocent, defenceless people and accuse them of blasphemy, and other such crimes against the divines...

An interesting character, but the Vigilants of Stendarr did not exist until after the Oblivion Crisis.
