If your scouts spot an enemy patrol, what strategy would your guild follow?

I would select a group to pull the enemy to the nearest hiding spot. Then I would order the others to hide. We would wait until the enemy is near, then we envelop them using the Pincer Movement . It is so easy to defeat enemies that way.

I would wait till they are near some river or lake, then have a group of Argonians flank them from the water. Quick and clean. Or if possible, come up from the water, grab an enemy, bring him under water and drown him.

Well, honestly, I'd build a giant death machine that could blow planets up with a big 'ol green laser. However, I think we'd run into some genuine technology and funding issues...so...curved swords. Curved. Swords.

Take a wedge formation, leading edge of paladins backed by defensive casters, followed by lines of skirmishers and knights to work outward from the cut and retain the ground covered. CRIT assassins and ranged DOTS dissolve the peel along the outside isolated by the wedge. I realize this requires great organization, but its not impossible.

As the guild Im in has a lot of very skilled close combat warriors-tanks and has numbers on its side it wouldn't be a bad idea to zerg the enemies with archer scouts on the flanks with healer and offensive mages hidden in the middle but if the first wave of tanks is killed the squishier units would have to fall back or be slaughtered by the enemies warriors and Templars.
