Additionally you can do adventure zones and PvP in Cyrodiil.

Adventure zones and PvP in Cyrodiil can be started at lvl 10, Aeternae... What they do is when someone under the level cap goes into Cyrodiil, they're artificially bumped up to 50. However you aren't given any new/improved skills and you aren't given any new gear. This is to make anyone coming into the zone be competitive and useful in any of the siege stuff, but a more experienced player will naturally have an advantage over a newer player.

To expand on Slinky's post:
After lvl 50 (and many people think you have to complete your own faction's questline as well) you go into another faction's area. It is unsure whether you choose which one or if the game chooses for you. You then get to explore and quest in the other faction's territory. You won't see any of the players originally from that territory: only the people from your own territory who are also in that area. Combat is all scaled up to accommodate a lvl 50 character. ZOS likes to call this "lvl 50+". When you are finished or get bored with THAT faction (I'm not sure on the requirements, or if there is any at all, to go into the third faction), the combat is scaled up even more. ZOS likes to call this "lvl 50++" and will supposedly give the some of the game's most difficult PvE experience.

While I believe that as well, ZOS worded it in a way that keeps it open for debate and there are good reasons why they would choose the order for you. Out of respect for the "Disputed Information Law" (which I just made up myself) and for the person I was debating with about this, I'm keeping the possibility open when discussing things.

I would think we would be able to choose, but who knows but ZoS (assuming they have decided yet). I could kind of see where your next faction would be predetermined. Take scenario where 2 friends accidentally choose different factions to explore. One friend talks about how fantastic his choice was and the other friend suffers "buyer's remorse" and could be robbed of his enjoyment. It could also go in with the "wold first" discussion in the other thread. First ad member to explore dc for instance. I'm honestly not too worried, I'm already planning to stack my hours for this game in groups of hundreds :)

I think they would be robbing us of our freedom of choice if they chose the next faction for us, because TES is all about what the player wants. I understand its an mmo but they said they still wanted that TES feel in the game, and I think the only way to do that is to let us CHOOSE. They want us to be able to create a character based on what we want and how we want that character to be, but tbh I don't mind what they do about it :P

No after you reach level 50 you're able to discover and explore other faction territories and do the quests over there, but you will still be part of the EP. And while you're in an enemy faction you won't see other players from different factions, I m really happy they did that cuz I wouldn't want to be ambushed while doing a certain quest in that faction, and once you're done eoh the second faction you move on to the third and last faction, it will be harder than the last 2 factions you did. That's all I can think of right now :)

I've heard you can go do other faction quest lines. So a level 50 Khajiit can go to, for example, High Rock and complete quests there.

Yes the difficulty will also be higher and the loot will be better.

The first faction territory will be 50+
The second 50++
