The Tsaesci, a snakemen species native to Akavir, were very big in the dragon slaying business. They foresaw the end of the world by Alduin eating it - wether this caused their dragonslaying or if they were already at it is up to debate - but they also foresaw someone to stop him. A party of Tsaesci set out to find this Dragonborn.

They arrived in Tamriel, on the shores of Skyrim, and fought. They carved a bloody trail through the Imperials (Skyrim was part of the Reman Empire back then). Emperor Reman Cyrodiil and his army met them at Pale Pass in the Jerall Mountains between Skyrim and Cyrodiil.

The Tsaesci instantly recognized Reman as one of the dragonborn and swore their loyalty to him, much to his surprise - he had expected a battle, after all. These Akaviri invaders became the Blades, sworn to protect the Dragonborn emperor, with the motive of preparing him for the world-saving battle against Alduin.

Many years later, Reman Cyrodill's grandson, Reman III, now emperor himself, gets assassinated. His proxy, the Akaviri Potentate Versidue-Shaie, who ordered the emperor killed, takes the throne and declares a new era (the second era).

234 years into the second era, Versidue-Shaie and all his heirs are murdered themselves, leaving the empire leaderless and crumbling. The Interregnum begins, that time of petty warlords and forthnight-emperors ESO is set in.

But throughout all that time, the Blades still existed. While all the Tamrielic Tsaesci died out eventually, the Blades relied more and more on natives, who upheld the principles and goals of the original Blades, as well as their style of weapon, armor and architecture.

oh yeah right it was reman. wich reminds me.
this whole stuff gets into the whole dragonborn / dragonborn thing.

Reman is not a Dovahkiin.
However he bears the blessing of aka. (such as allessia did) therfor can wear the amulet of kings.

its some realy awkward spot because there are two things, that are completeley different, having the same name.

Also Blades =/= Syffim. the blades were taken over by the natives alot faster than the fighters guild.

1h spears for skirmisher builds. Slightly longer melee range with skills for poison/bleeding, sprear throw, etc. but lower than average autoattack damage.

Check the times of some of the original posts. This thread was started quite a while ago, died a bit, and came back.

I'm almost positive they are going to have spears. I'm pretty sure I've seen some gameplay with a dunmer that was using a spear.
