The classes in TESO will apparently have some flexibility in how they can be played. In MMOs, some people like to focus on a certain role as their specialty and others like to be versatile in their playstyle.

Let's see how the TESOF Ebonheart Pact community might act:

For your main, which combat role will you fulfill?

Offensive - ("DPS")
Defensive - ("Tank")
Support - ("Healer")
Versatile - You'll play all roles your class is capable of.

Character Profiles:
Endaros Ilmori - Buoyant Armiger
Sunrio - Aldmeri Justiciar

Taren Jucanis - Imperial Deserter (Used for The Black Shroud RP)

I love being a support character in multiplayer RPGs like DnD and WoW. I don't see ESO being any different for me. In fact if healing works the way I think it will its gonna be a heck of a lot more fun than WoW healing is for me (and I still like WoW).

So yeah, I'm planning on making me an argonian restoration/one handed/ light armor type character. (going by what skyrim skills are)

Versatile. I love being healer or tank but sometimes it just gets boring.

I love being a tank but in TES i doubt that will come in handy in pvp especially, not like you can taunt someone to attack in TES you'll have to use other methods or so I'd imagine, so I suppose a Thief-Tank(probably light armred) who specialieses in illusin magic

There are ways to make tanks fulfill the tanking role in PvP. A few MMOs have their taunts actually considerably reduce the damage the enemy player deals unless they're attacking the tank. So while they have a choice to whom they attack, the tank is still protecting his buddies.

Hopefully TESO make tanks viable in PvP in a similar way.

That would help, well anyways just remembered that we could play any style we wanted(or hopefully so in case we get to have any kind of magic the main reason to have tanks could become less necessary since a healer not necessarily is a healer and a tank not necessarily a tank, anyways pvp should prove interesting

there wont be any taunts, and taunts in pvp. that idea alone is rediculous..

I, as in every one of my previous Elder Scrolls forays, will probably play a Dunmer Spellsword. Though, I might go for a more supportive roll if I like how the healing system works.

Hard to say I like to mix things up, I don't like the idea of being tied down to one specific type of battle style or play style

im assuming htis is about PvE, in that case, Im a versatile DPSer. DPS is my first job, but i can tank or heal if need be.

Although in PvP, im more lone wolf. I can run interference or play bait for traps. Im not much for PvP groups or mass battles in open terrain.

Then close your f#$kin' store, 'cause being ready for me'll take care of your wakin' hours, and you'd better have someone to hand the task off to when you close your f$#kin' eyes

Im going to jump between roles as I see fit, I have always done that. Tho mostly I do tank or heal, as everyone and his little sister does damage and I love to be useful

Debating with someone on the Internet is like mudwrestling with a pig. You get filthy and the pig loves it
