Why do Kajiits Like Skooma

Are these the low life race of The Elder Scrolls Online, you know those that have figured out how to do a little chemistry and what do they create? Skooma, the naughty little Druggies! tut tut

I figured they resorted to this mainly because of the faction they are within, makes sense to me lol, and thats how the Skooma trade was born

I was pretty sure that it was the Dunmer who created skooma, the Khajiit just use moon sugar.

This one gets very stressed, so Dar Zhal has been known, from time to time, to indulge himself. Do not judge; it was a rough life growing up on the streets of Senchal, Elsweyr.

Moon sugar and Skooma have religious meaning to the Khajiit. They believe the sugar is moonlight trapped in the Topal Sea and washed to the sugarcane groves of the Tenmar Forest. By consuming it, they believe they are consuming a part of their gods eternal souls.

Moon sugar is often used as seasoning and doesn't seem to have much effect on Khajiit.

That's not to say they don't profit from its export. But it has significance in their culture and is not just a drug to them.

Skooma must taste like milk, and cats like milk.

There's nothing wrong with a little "catnip", milk drinker! Wait-milk is good too. /purr

This post is just a media inspired mind set that ali drugs are bad. Moon sugar is for religious purposes. Several modern religions employ drugs. Skooma is a bi-product of the fact that percentages of a populace likes to get high. They do more selling of it then anything which means its the rest of the populace thats doing it.

I read this thread as Why do Khajjit lick their butt? I personally think it's the skooma. But anyway. They like skooma for religious properties, as Nidali said they believe they are inducing their gods.

why they use it is irrelevant, the problem is that if they use it they sound like this
