What's with all the Nords in the EP? I know it's because of Skyrim, but it's a bit much considering Nords don't even have that 'special' (maybe it's aesthetic, idk) abilities, mainly you just have your resistance to cold and that's all that's special. Could you Nords explain why you are a Nord and maybe if you're a Nord purely because you played Skyrim or have you been a Nord since before Skyrim?

Dar'Rak: Khajiit assassin, son of the Mane, at your service. But not really.
Im-Kur: Argonian Nightblade, killer of men, caster of spells.

Yeah, I'm sure Skyrim is a big part of it but I'm sure thats not the only reason why so many people like Nords.

Looking at the current "Racial bonuses and penalties" of the races on http://elderscrollsonline.info/nord , it seems to me that the Nord is the toughest fighter type character on there; and a lot of people like to play that way.
I dont really like the races of Man on ESO because they look too human to me (Even some of the Mer races look too 'normal' for my tastes) but if I was going to make a Tank or front line fighter or whatever I would definitely consider being a Nord.

I'll just quote myself:

After reading the lore (alway's loved Scandinavian culture) and the stats, being resistant to frost, (I'm Canadian and fair better in cold weather than my Foreign friends) I felt a connection with them, and thus fell in love with the Nord race

If i werent Altmer i would be Nord. But i have been Altmer in every TES game so far, so i cant let go. But Nord because of the Nordic influences ... And im nordic so it just feels cosy.

I tried playing a nord in skyrim it didn't really go well. Bosmer was good but too short so I played my Altmer like an assassin lol. I always knew this would be the most overpopulated. But, I actually daggerfall covenant because of the symbol is a lion and I love lions.

For me, it's the culture. Nords and Altmer are sort of the proto-men/mer. Nords are sort of the "most human" and Altmer the "most elven." Their histories go back the furthest (setting aside the fact we don't know a whole lot about the deep history of the beast races). I like to play as humans in these games so Nords are the natural choice. I can't identify with elves or beastmen.

Also, their armor and architecture looks the coolest, IMO.

Nords are the only race for me. They are tough, nordic and stubborn. Elves are just disgusting with their "superiority", Argonians are steathy thiefs and Khajiit .... Actually Khajiit's i would like to have friends for the Skooma.

But Nords .... The one race strong enough to rule.

Nord race is always my player character choice in TES series of video games because I'm a fan of savage barbarian warriors and ancient Nordic Vikings basicly folks and my current avatar tells the entire tale of my medieval fantasy genre appreciation!

I've always preferred to play humans, allowing other PC's and NPC's to be the other races. I find it makes them more exotic to me. Although I have toyed with the idea of playing Breton, the story line of the EP along with the other races that populates it makes it a pretty solid choice for me. Argonians are badass and the Dunmer are the only elves I can actually stomach.

My choice has little to do with Skyrim, but rather the culture of the Nords and their traditions. Nordic influences intrigues me and I just feel like they are the right ones for me. It was more a choice of which alliance I wanted to play though. EP looks like the one best suited for me, and thus I picked the human race that was available, Nords. It's interesting to play weak characters in a society built around power, boasting and heroism.

1. I don't like how females in other humanist races are always so small in comparison to their male counterparts (I even made my female Nord in Skyrim taller & bigger than normally possible).
2. I always prefer playing the Icelandic/Nordic/Viking type in video games (albeit I don't care for the cultures or customs related; if anything, I oft prefer middle-eastern and wild-western customs/cultures).
3. The only other races I like are Redguard & Dunmer, so I may create alt characters for them.
