I'm sure someone else has had to have wondered, but what happens when you take an item from the world in the game? If I steal an iron bar from a shop am I the only person who gets that item or does it respawn? Does each individual have the chance to take any item but it only shows for them like the loot system (I mean as in it only happens on your screen). Also while i'm at this, how does pickpocketing or picking locks work...is my character with high skills in lockpicking going to be able to let anyone inside a sealed area just because I was the one patient enough to work for it....if I steal from an NPC can anyone else steal from them too? Maybe put a poisoned apple in his pocket, will I kill them off until a new NPC spawns to replace them?

While i'm asking odd questions, how exactly does one go about raising hell in a city (not that I plan on trolling but this might be used to occupy guards while an ally sneaks by). Does it mean I can get a group of guards to wail on my shield and cause me to level up my shield, or continually sneak inside a well populated area to increase that skill? Can I steal from other players (such as pickpocket or maybe steal their horse) and ride off into the sunset with their hard earned loot?

I have no desire to abuse the system, but I want to know is the competition going to be able to get a massive lead on me because they have less respect for the game?

If I see someone struggling with a boss and I go help out do I get experience and loot as well?

I understand the answers may not be out there yet but if anyone knows I would like some light shed on these topics.

Many of these questions have been answered through various interviews and Q&As, admittedly though, for someone who hasn't already been following the game, finding these answers would take a while!

Due to the MMO nature of this game, many of the criminal activities that you would find in the previous Elder Scrolls games cannot be done. You cannot steal from other players and you cannot kill friendly NPCs. While you may not abuse a system that may include this, on the internet-- a lot of other people would. So your items will remain yours, and you will not return to dead questgivers constantly.

What you can do however is take items from NPCs' homes, but they won't be adding a "Crime" system until a later date so the NPCs won't particularly care. Some world items you can take are visible only to you, while most of them are visible to everyone. You can lockpick random chests in the world, and only one person can lockpick the chest a time. Fail at lockpicking though and you have to wait a little bit until you can try again, allowing someone else to have the opportunity to take it from you.

Helping a random player out to defeat any sort of monster or boss will get you experience and loot as well, that you don't share.

I would get you the sources for all these; but they're scattered in a bajillion different videos and articles. You can try using the support site to find some of these answers and review their "Ask Us Anything" articles.

And then be sure to watch the interviews, we have a thread containing a list of them.

Thank you I really appreciate it, I have been reading and watching for what seems like forever but never came across these interviews yet, not sure how though lol. I'll come up with some other off the wall questions soon enough haha.
